What title says ^
There is a GT5 tourney going on this week at 78 TIF in Thessaloniki .
Prize pool is 300 euros, and I just saw they use a DFGT. I can only attend today and tomorrow, the finals are at Saturday.
I'll be there in like 3 hours, any quick tips on how to transform my decent DS3 times to decent times with DFGT?

What do you mean? You mean the lap times when you race?

Exactly. I mean I may have limited amount of laps how can I get faster to my limit using the wheel

Im sorry to say, but IMO the best way to adapt & get better is to practice. Which requires time.

But you never know...

Oh, I get it.

Well, if you haven't tried using a wheel to race in the game yourself even once, you will and may feel that it is very different from a DS3. Learning it can also be a hassle, too. And using a wheel in a race does not necessarily improve lap times. There's someone in another thread who stated it and also about using the wheel in the game.

Don't over steer the car.
Watch the throttle inputs if it's on harder tires.
Drive the car, don't try to drift or powerslide with it. You can do that later, but it's hard to learn on a wheel in a couple of hours.
Good luck.👍

I will say OP, you have courage to try a Comp without ever using a Wheel.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you so you dont look like a complete noob is, when driving in a strait line dont let go of the wheel. The car will begin to sway and you could spin-out.
The other advice when in a strait line, dont let the wheel fight you on the straits, hold it dead center and let the car do the work, many people have had to over come this when getting use to a wheel.

Other then that, I feel like its almost like real driving, feel what the wheel is telling you, also be smooth on gas, brake and steering inputs.

Good Luck!

You might want to practice for a little while. Not an easy transition from sticks to a wheel. But good luck and don't let go of the wheel while driving.

Practice is, I'm afraid the answer. I think I'm faster with the DFGT wheel than I was with the controller. It feels so much better and I can really lean on the car with the wheel, so I'm sure I'm a very little faster and way more consistent in lap times.

I'm going to have to agree with all of these guys. Practice, practice, practice is the key. It worked for me. :) Though I'm still a bit quicker with a DS3, I've gotten my wheel pace up quickly. 👍

drive one of youre best tracks with one of your best cars :)
