Any way to drag race

being a muscle car type of guy i love to drag race can you do that in gt5 im new to the game.

There is a track called road course Indy that people drag on, it's not an official drag track but its all we got. You line up and there should be someone called a "ghost" in front of you. Rev your engine and wait for him to turn invisible and when he turns invisible or "goes ghost" you go. That's pretty much all you do but if you want to get faster you tune your car.

You can drag race online. I mostly go to Indy Road Course. There is also Special Stage Route 7 tunnel drag racing, but I never join those.

Don't be surprised if you go against Nissan Skylines, Bugatti Veyrons, and Lamborghinis.
My favorite muscle drag cars are the Plymouth Cuda, AC Cobra/Shelby Cobra, Chevrolet Camaro SS 69', and the Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO.

Oh and if you lose or win a drag race don't mind people who talk trash. Just ignore them.

Go online and look for rooms classified as 'free run' and look for Indy road course

Nope. 2 ways they start the races online.

1) someone will type in the chat box "45" or "20" or any other number, and when the timer hits that number of seconds, you go.

2) a person will park their car in front of you, and when he "goes ghost" then everyone goes.

Just saying up front, I am not "one of those guys" that bust your chops about how where and what you post, but if you light up "forums" tab at the top left of your page, look through the GT5 topics you'll see a drag racing forum. That said, the test track is really kinda cool for checking out any ride you wonder about re: acceleration g's, 100yd times and speeds, 1/4 mile stats, true top speeds and it's all sortable for what results you wanna parse.

Yeah you certainly can drag in GT5 but I'm telling you now that there isn't a lot of people that does drag but on somedays if your lucky you can encounter one with 10 people doing drags. There is quite a lot of people that do races, shuffle race and drifting.
