I'm getting my HDTV at the end of the week (42" Sharp AQUOS 1080p LCD) and I was planning on having it be a secondary monitor part of the time. I just realized that I may not be able to do that unless I was running SLi for the extra DVI outputs. Supposedly the highest resolution that a single link DVI cable can carry is 1600x1200. Also, the TV doesn't have DVI inputs, so I would have to use a DVI to HDMI adapter. I assume that definitely won't work even if I could run a dual link cable.
Is there any possible way I could connect it, preferably being able to run 1920x1080? Would it still have the 1600x1200 bandwidth cap if I were to use a DVI to HDMI adapter coming out from the video card and using a HDMI cable to link them?
