To get that, you would normally post this:

Code:
[s]Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is going to be $30![/s]

Actually, nevermind that, it isn't going to be.

I think this could be useful for first posts for threads that are constantly updated... and it'd be slightly helpful if you accidentally posted incorrect information, and you wanted to make it more clear that it was wrong.

Any way where you can check a box and make this happen (or put such a feature in GTP9)?

I've wished for this too, after running into a couple situations where it would have been nice to have. Good idea.

I've wanted or <strike> tags too. Back when other forums allowed HTML in posts, it could be done.

Perhaps the tag is just not activated?

I like this idea as well, there have been plenty of times when I could have used this.

That what I'm guessing. Jordan did activate the spoiler tag quickly when we all asked for it...

Please excuse a n00b, but what the h3ll is a spoiler tag ?..

Spoiler Tag

Wish we still had the Test forum.....

Ah, so that's what that is... I've seen it in a few other forums before. I guess it's a nice feature.

You don't need the Test Forum. In the normal "Reply to Thread" screen (as opposed to the Quick Reply at the bottom of the thread), hit "Preview Post" - that'll show you what the post would look like. Then you can either "Submit Post" or delete the text.

I never really saw a need for strike-through text, considering you can edit and delete anything you want. It is also simple to abuse this tag, which could, as always, lead to its demise. Nevertheless, if you guys want it, it's easy enough to add.

Just type [ strike ] and [/ strike ] to strike the text you want.

I don't see the point of this. I prefer to not make any mistooks mistakes in the first place.

It will be useful for gags. 'Fixed your text there' kinda stuff.

Of course, with all power comes abuse. :D

I know - but I still miss the test forum... (Agreed, a lot most of it did turn into garbage, but there were still more than a few pearls)...

This could be useful for threads where the information is constantly being updated.

For example, latest game release.

A thread is started with all the rumours about the games content. As the rumours are proved to be false they can be crossed out. Visitors to the thread will then be able to see which particular information is correct.

Well there is an edit button for a reason  But i guess its fun having a "strike" code to make your post mroe more interesting :D

See how much hate fun i can have. Thanks Jordan for adding this function!

I'm just thinking about rather than deleting the information, just striking it through so people know that it has already been mentioned.
