Certainly looks interesting, I always love hearing about race cars that were scrapped as there is always quite a bit of mystery behind them.

Hope you have fun though, make sure to take pics and (if possible) some video.👍

Bill Thomas' Cheetah is epic. Really needs some more recognition in the racing community.

Oh there will be videos and pictures of this. I really can't believe I have never heard of this car before though.

I like this more than the Terlingua rabbit.

Thanks for the info guys! I always liked history and if it involves cars, it's just that much better!! This car deserves to be known more than it is. On another note this guy is going to hate me. I have so many questions.

Lucky you. Those are rare cats. Supposedly one of the few cars as mad as the Cobra. Supposedly also capable of flight down a straight long enough...

Have fun. ;)

Additional trivia on that car for those who are interested:

This car has no drive shaft between transmission and final drive.
It's so short that the outlet of the gearbox is directly flanged to the final drive.

Hint the similarity of the words 'cheetah' and 'cheater'. That used to be a running gag at the time this car was used in regular races because it was often claimed to violate technical requirements (as so often when cars are faster than their competitors).

One of the most craziest cars I know...
