Anybody ever see any of the Getaway in Stockholm???

Getaway in stockholm 1-Older porsche 911(I think)
Getaway in stockholm 2-escort cosworth(spelling?) and Supra
Getaway in stockholm 3-Honda NSX

I think 2 is probably the best just because they have two cars. Anybody else ever see these? What do you think of them? Also, teaser/trailers can be seen at the website.

oh and yeah 2 is the best by far. one was also fantastic. shame about the poor sound quality in 2 though, the dump valve would be brilliant otherwise.

and to be honest i doubt the authenticity of the police there. you never see them up close

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing.

One thing i don't get is in number one, why do they try pulling the prosche over?

i can only assume that he was speeding before they started filming. but they obviously gave away their identities or something... i dunno, it seems fishy to me. why are the police in an unmarked car and not wearing uniform... maybe they were just gangsters?! :D

though that set of videos is about the best you can get at the mo. if i had access to a decent car i'd record a fantastic vid. but that will have to wait. though to be honest the recepie is simple. PRISTINE sound quality, good racing/overtaking action, and very high speeds (like at the end of the second one) i love it when they show the supra speedo sitting at 300kph! heh

I thought it was the escort hitting 300? If it was then the supra was probably going even faster because from what i remember you couldn't see the supra.

oh, i never thought it could have been the escort heh. maybe it was, i just naturally assumed it was the supra.

i wish they'd drive more in traffic though. number two was good for that reason. driving at 4am or whenever (like in the nsx one) is fine but you might as well be on a race track...

It was the supra because the camera was on the escort not the supra.

oh yeah i jsut realised. it could be because the car is covered in cameras! :P but i still doubt the authenticity of hte cops...
 
I've seen #2 and I like it but I think the best vid of cars racing on public streets in in the Gumball 3000 :) How can you beat watching tons of hundred thousand dollar supercars from all over the world going 3000 miles in 6 days. Its funny to see them get pulled over like the ferarri F-50 that blew past a cop at 180 mph....Then they just pay the tickets or bail themselves out and keep racing!..There isn't even a prize or ranking system...its all for fun and they throw wild partys every night....Insane...I'd love to try it but its expensive to enter...not to mention the cars, fines, gas etc.

hey gumball is pretty good but there are too many posers there for my liking. sure some people are insane like the dood in the f50 :D (did you see they wear ear guards all the time to protect themselves from the noise heh)
but other people are just too rich. also hardly anyone tries to out run the police, when they clearly could. if u're doing 205mph in a gt2, not even a helicopter can keep up (top speeds are about 160-190) aren't they?
but gumball is good fun, i might try it some day but i'd rather it was shorter. like 1000 miles spread over 5 days. otherwise you're just sitting in a car all day long. have u seen the jackass one? that's hillarious! :D

as for fuel, its in america so fuel is cheap right? does anyone know how much fuel actually costs in the usa? it would be nice to get some real figures... in the uk its crazy, 80p per litre, which is about $1.28 USD per litre... i dont know how much a gallon is, but roughly 4 times that?
 
I just saw video nr. 1

The police in this movie is 100% fake. And i have never seen a big city like Stockholm so empty! Even the highways were almost deserted.
 
I've seen #1, and I wasn't impressed. The guy is on the gas far too little and far too late all the time. His driving is pretty pathetic, bursting the trottle like that constantly.

Exactly.

They should place a camera near the speedometer, because i don't get a "fast feeling" at all.

The second video is a little bit better, mainly because i like to watch the Supra's rear. Beautiful rear!
 
despite all the criticisms, the porsche DOES sound good doesn't it? is that a standard exhaust? cause it sounds different to what i know...
 
1 is poor because the driving is too slow and the roads too deserted.
2 is better but suffers due to there being only the one camera angle.
3 (I thought) was pants. Better production, more cameras and so on but one car isn't enough unless it's being chased, properly. If they could combine the best parts of 2 and 3 then it'd be good.

Gis: ok that was kinda boring old Porsche going like 60km/h in city bahh..boring i was happy when came text The End

GiS2: ohh that was awesome seeing 2 cars go pretty fast and both tuned abput 500hp...Supra and Escort

Gis3: Honda NSX driving ..streets empty no fun..but Bonus videos were pretty awesome..best part of movie i think :)
