Anybody having trouble logging on to PSN today 4/21?

All day today, I've been unable to log into PSN. I keep getting an error message saying I've been logged off. (I've set my PS3 to auto log in)
I tried manually logging in, still keep getting the error. I'm in NY, USA; called a friend in NJ (next state west) and he had the same problem.

Anything on this?
 
I haven't been able to log in either. There are a couple of threads on this already.
 
There is a discussion on this here. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Yup, I saw that earlier but saw the post date was Apr. 3...didn't check the last post, which was today.

I guess everybody's in the same boat.
 
I'm just hoping it gets fixed soon because I have trades that I need to complete.
 
Yup, as far as I know it has been down since yesterday afternoon.

Hearing it could be another day or two:grumpy:

Rants do nothing. I play the game a lot still.

Nah the joke is the amount of problems gt5 has had from day one 6 years ago
 
As long as it comes back better than what it was, I don't mind waiting a couple of days...
 
From what I've read it seems to be an attack on the PSN servers. It's been assumed that Anonymous is responsible but they deny this.

What does that have to do with the PSN servers being down?
 
On the the PS3 site, it says the PSN servers are down for maintenance, I noticed it since last night 4/20. When I try to login I get error 80023121.
 
I was a victim of the "Anonymous" attacks around the 3rd. This may be different; maybe not. Earlier, my PS3 would at least "try" to log in, meaning it would sit for maybe ten seconds before not logging in -- now I get the "you have been logged off" message **immediately** after trying to log in.

And yes, there are posts about this problem earlier, but the OP said "today," so I say it's a fair post. At any rate, I hope we are back on soon -- I saw that they had another seasonal event that went up today (yesterday).

And if you happen to hack for Anonymous, please hack into Sony's email systems and publish some embarrassing emails or something, as opposed to f^&*ing all us innocent people who happen to use the PS network!:)

During the bout with the 3 year olds known as Anonymous, Sony hired an outside firm, Prolexic, to assist with the attacks. (http://www.ps3hax.net/2011/04/sony-anonymous-attacks-are-just-an-annoyance/)

I'm willing to bet that they're updating their servers, etc. to prevent such attacks in the future, or at least some security updates.

There's also been reports that this is an offshoot attack of the Sony Op, however if that's the case, no party has taken any credit.

While we're speculating, I'm gonna blame the Obama administration for this. Seems to be the popular thing to do, lol.
