Anyone else miss the abbreviated tracks?

One thing I really miss from GTs 1 & 2 are the very short abbreviated tracks - Autumn Mini Ring, Grand Valley East, and the shortened versions of Seattle, SS11, Rome.

Anyone else miss these circuits?

I was really surprised they left them out - I mean, the full circuits (apart from Autumn Ring, which is in GT Concept) are in there, how hard would it have been to put them in?

Yeah, I quite liked them, especially when you were racing lower powered cars. They take ages to get around tracks like Grand Valley, but the shorter version was great to race them on. I also miss a few of the other tracks as well, like Grindelwald, which I though was a great track, especially the winding start/finish 'straight'.
 
Yeah, I miss them too. Used to be able to hold a car sideways all the way around both Autumn Ring tracks.

Just watched TF&TF again last night. Noticed at least two occasions where Gran Turismo (I think it was GT1) was being played, both times on the High Speed Ring.
 
I miss Clubman Rte.5, Motor sport, Rome, and Autaum Ring mini. I don't miss Seattle Short, and the "Full" Ring.
 
I know it isn't an abbreviated track, but, I miss Red Rock Valley.
 
Yeah, some of the smaller tracks were some of the best, Red Rock would have looked gorgeous on G T 3 also.
 
Red Rock ruled on GT2!!!

Also, I do miss those shortened tracks. That helped progress the game along in those maker-specific races....
 
It was great fun flogging a 1047hp race spec Skyline around Autumn mini-ring - two laps in under a minute from a standing start!

:lol: Yeah, I sure miss the short tracks, espiecially the Autumn mini-ring. I used to do the same thing, but with the 4WD Mitsubishi Twin Turbo 3000 maxxed out. What an incredible lap time. Do I smell a new competition? ;)

Thats true leaving out the shorter tracks kinda spoiled the structure of the game. For example the Pro Yaris/Vitz cup would be a helluva lot stressfull, if they used Rome Short instead of rome and Grand Valley east etc etc. If they want to make GT4 the ultimate they should include every version of every track. I mean I want to bring back memorys of drivng on the high speed ring and Autumn ring. Well I suppose you can get autumn ring GT3 stylee in GTConcept
 
I surely miss the short tracks, they should have never changed the damn game just added to it and sold it, damn dman dman.
