so to give some context, loved PC1 on the pad, know it was sensitive at times but it still gave the best feeling I've ever had in a racing game.

But I just cannot get the same feel for love or money on PC2, is it just me?

I've played around with every setting I can think of especially steering deadzones (now back to 0) and sensisitivity (now back to 50). Messing with car setups doesn't seem to help either.

I'm just left with a wishy washy feeling in corners almost like the car is hitting invisible walls half way through, the single seater especially feel like floaty boats.

This is not a bash, I'm genuinely interested to know if anyone else has had the same and any advice is greatly appreciated!

Exact same problem Ripper.. i am spinning out almost every corner and in general the cars are very floaty and unpredictable. (authentic settings on).
I tried warming up the tires, different settings, talking to my engineer, practiced for hours but i just can't get that feel like i had in Pcars1 (after 10 patches).
If i do make it 1 lap without spinning that's because i am slow as hell and the AI even on 30 difficulty just rips through the corners without problems.

I haven't started adjusting controller settings myself so I'm guessing a bit, but have you tried decreasing controller damping all the way down? According to the description that will increase steering speed, which should give a more responsive feeling if the cars are feeling floaty or unpredictable.

I found the stock settings waaaaay too numb for my taste. Like the OP, I also took fairly well to the extreme sensitivity of PC1 pad gaming, although I did have to dumb down the steering senstivity a lot in the original. Now in PC2 I find the opposite, I cranked the sensitivity up significantly to get the response I had become fond of in PC1.

I'm using an Xbox Elite controller on a PC.

Reducing damping has certainly helped but I can't seem to stop smoking the rears out of corners which I never do on racing games, it's so frustrating when PC1 pretty much felt solid straight out of the box

I honestly haven't had much issues with using my Xbox One controller this time round. So far, I only found myself having to turn down the braking sensitivity. However, I'm willing to give that video a try if it makes driving easier for me.

So spent all afternoon trying settings again and still no sweet spot, can't help but feel this game has really lost something in the feel on the pad from PC1

So so disappointed.

What's happening with your T300? Logged about 6 hrs now and mine seems fine.
Plenty of people are having issues where there is next to no FFB or feeling of kerbs etc regardless of strength of setting. I have 2 more recommendations to try then the wheel is being parked in favour of a DS4. The wheel is perfect in Assetto Corsa though.

I will have to check tomorrow to see whether I get feedback from kerbs but I can say for certain that set on Raw and with gain at 80 I'm getting great feedback in GT3 and GT4 cars , very informative and intuitive .
However I did try it in the sesto Elemento and could barely feel a thing through the wheel

I doubt I've tried anything you haven't already, but just in case, these are the settings I've settled with after a few hours of running. Only rough changes but for now this is about as responsive as I can get it without it becoming sensitive (mostly, at least - and what you classify as 'sensitive' will be highly dependent on your driving style, of course).

Sensitivities:
- Steering: 20
- Throttle: 25
- Brake: 50
- Speed: 90

Controller damping: 20

Deadzones as low as your sticks/triggers are happy with.

Bear in mind that this is ultimately a new game, with new physics as well as the controller updates, and it might be just a case of needing time and practise to get used to it all. So it may be worth just picking a setting, even if you don't like it, sticking with it and see how it feels after a while. I wasn't totally sure about the above settings at first, but after a few sessions (and a few breaks) I'm already more comfortable with them, and I'll probably just keep them as they are now.

Hope you find something that works for you. 👍

I'm on a controller and really struggling and I'm only on Karting.

In the first game I found it so much easier to control the car but now I can't stop spinning out and have no idea where to start adjusting it.

I'm currently using my DS4 as the T300 issues are rendering the wheel unusable. It is certainly more intuitive but still far from perfect despite trying what people say are great settings. I still feel something of a disconnect from the cars and to be perfectly honest with you I'm starting to get PO'd with it.

Give my settings a go:

Try it on the two community events - Catheram and Nissan ones. See what you think.

Finally seem to be getting somewhere, I think certain cars just don't work very well on the pad but others are better.

Group C cars have been my favourite so far.

Now starting my first indycar season

Just watched video and i found i was struggling with controller as well on PS4, it felt like i was being punished for using a controller lol i dunno how to describe it.

I would play project cars one same track and car on A.i of 50 and do ok, go back to project cars 2 and get whooped and did not feel great :(.

I really want to get into Project cars 2 as well so hopefully different controller setting will assist me.
I can play Forza 6 on pro an do ok as well so really annoyed me that in project cars 2 i couldn't get my head around controller feel.
