Anyone else visit Costco?

Hi Hello there.

I love Costco. I don't know what it is about it but it's strange to see everyday products in giant multipacks. And it's pretty cheap too, each time we go (maybe once every 5 months) we come back with enough Dr Pepper and Toblerone to solve a major famine.
Does anyone else visit?
If so, do you buy huge packs of anything?

Costco is a US brand so yes, there are Costcos over there.

I go there whenever we need some grocery, their other stuff is cheaper there too. There's one very close to where I live.

Anyway, Costco rules. Best return policy ever (my parents were able to exchange out our pooped out year old cordless phones with new ones), outrageous bargains, etc etc.

Forgot their return policy, as long as it's under a year you can return it. Very useful for things like cameras.
 
Awesome store. We go once a month or more. Never get out without spending more than $300. It is a really great place to get group foods.
 
I got my XBOX there in 2002 for 170 with 2 games, and 2 controllers! What a deal that was.
 
We've got a Costco in Grand Rapids, and yet for some reason I've yet to enter. Strange, because I absolutely despise Sam's Club (Wal-Mart Costco) and refuse to shop there, even though we buy things in bulk on occasion from Meijer. I almost bought my Mom a membership to Costco for Christmas, but I wasn't sure if she would use it...

...I should probably break-down and get one given how much Popcorn, Oreo Cookies, and Coca-Cola we consume at my house...
 
So what is Costco exactly? If it like a supermarket or retail store or what?

Wholesale/Retail. Don't they offer cheaper prices to those with resale licenses? Regular retail folks cannot get wholesale prices from Sam's Club, which is where we shop.
 
I'm guessing by that site, it's similar to a Harvey Norman or Clve Peeters or...dammit I know there's another one!

Edit: Wait, can you buy food from there? Then it'd be like K-Mart of Big W....

Nup, we don't have them here, but we do however seem have Toblerone left over from Xmas that we just can't seem to give away. No one seems to like it.

Betta Electrical and Dicksmiths don't have food either. Wouldn't even compare it to Big W or KMart either.

I was pretty fond of this store as a kid, with the free food samples they give out in the isles. Haven't been in a while though.
 
I used to go there when it was still called Price Club here in Canada, but I don't go anymore because I would only ever buy one or two things, and since they've never heard of an express lane there, I would always get stuck behind some woman buying enough miniature sausages to feed the Russian Army for a year.

Costco is Sam's Club's competition. My uncle has a costco super elite card thingy. The best one, basically. He also has 4 freezers in his house. :)

I see no reason to have four deep freezes in your house unless you're hiding bodies in them.

(Just kidding, sounds like he makes good use of the card.)

I was in Costco yesterday... All I did was get lunch and look at laptops while I was waiting for my dad to finish.

There's one, just few blocks from where I work. No, I do not shop there.

I've visited the store few times before, but I've never seen a deal that I couldn't find elsewhere. Obviously, I don't go there enough to see a great sale, plus I'm a pretty thrifty shopper. Combine that with me being single, I have no reason to shop there.

I hear that their Costco-Dogs(hotdogs) are really good though.

Nah, he just cooks for armies whenever he makes stuff. For instance, one is filled with frozen home-made soups and sauces and stuff. I do agree that it's kind of ridiculous, though.

I've had them before. They're just 1/4 lbs. Hebrew National Dinner Franks, which they sell inside along with the very same buns they use, too.

You can buy them anywhere. If you buy them, remember these are real hot dogs and must be pan fried and rotated constantly over low heat. DO NOT BOIL!
