Anyone have a solution to this freeze problem?

Since the latest patch 2.03 for the new dlc my gt5 game has been randomly freezing. It has gotten worse. Now i can not use my wheel (DFGT) when playing the game because when i plug it in the game freezes.(i have put it in before starting the game). I have dried disabling custom music and clearing cache. Can anyone say if this is a wheel sync problem, or a ps3 problem etc?
