Last week I fully tuned a VW 1200 for an on-line race the next day. After doing all tuning I painted it my team colours.

Next day, at race time the car was still painted but otherwise was stock. All the parts were gone.

One of the other guys I was to race had the same thing on his, nicely painted in his colours, all other parts gone.

A third member of our group reported the same problem with the Lexus IS F Racing Concept. Each time he returns to the car it is brand new, no parts, no changes and no distance.

Duping is definitely not the cause in my case.

Never heard of this myself but anything is possible I guess.

The game autosaves when you leave gt auto but not when you leave the tuning shop. I always save manually after leaving the tuning shop if I'm going to turn my PS3 off. I'm a bit confused though because you said you painted your car after tuning it, are you sure you didn't go back/go to the tuning shop to make any major changes and then turn your PS3 off?

I put the parts on first, then painted, then went and did some track time to set up. The strangest thing was that I was not the only one it happened to.

Its happened to me as well but if you go to save then turn off you get the same settings as before guess autosave only saves a few things

This would explain why my EK 97 isn't RM'd anymore..even though it kept the thumb-nail..

You must save after leaving the tuning shop. I've encountered the same problem.
