Anyone having trouble with ITV-F1

Hi all.

I was just wondering whether anyone (other than me) is having difficulties unsubscribing from the ITV-F1.COM e-mail newsletter.

I'm getting all my unsubscibe mails bounced back as undeliverable and there's no response via the web form.

Any one else?

Their web mail handling is appalling.I wish they didn't send e-mails with spoiler headlines.

Thanks for warning me not to sign up there. You could try putting up a filter to automaticly send the e-mails to the trash.

Yes, I could... however the ITV is a major and highly reputable UK commercial company. You would think that their unsubscribe links actually did what they were supposed to. Simply directing unwanted mail to the trash is not as solution as far as I'm concerned. The source of the mail MUST desist when instructed to do so.

I contacted the main ITV site and their dutyoffice have apparently passed my mail on to the ITV-F1 website manager. I'm quite sure that once they read my promise of legal action and to report the domain as spammers, they will be only too glad to remove my email address.

Is there anyone out there currently signed up to the email newsletter willing to send the unsubscribe email for themselves? I'd be curious as to the outcome.

I'm subscribed to the official F1.com newsletter which seems to be just as good, and they go out of their way to ensure the subjects are always the same as last time - you get a preview on each day, the results of each day and that's it.

Hello again all.

I eventually managed to get off the ITV-F1 list by going through a complaints procedure at the main ITV website 👍

It's been a few weeks and all was looking good, but now I have a different problem which (for information) I'd like to share with you.

Seems that the company behind the scenes which appears to be looking after the subscriptions [ haynet.com ] (don't bother looking there is no website) is starting to send junk mail to me from castrolracing@haynet.com

The mail is in dutch (I don't speak the language) and contains links to a castrol.com address evy.bens@castrol.com .

I'm about to start bouncing some heads over this breach of my personal information, starting with the ITV.

Is anyone interested in what happens? If a handful of you give me a thumbs up I'll continue to update stuff, if not I will keep it to myself.

Cheers.

Well I'm keen to here how you go with it.

Same here, 👍
