Anyone having trouble with Nissan NCD?

When I access it only a few thumbnails show up, the rest are blank. Stats n the car do show up but not the big model that turns. Can't buy the cars and trying to go back to Home freezes the game.

No problems with other NCDs. Tried using backup savegames, installing family pack, clearing cache and ultimately deleting game data and reinstalling to no avail. It happened to me once with a previous update and installing the racing car pack fixed it. This fix no longer works.

Any input appreciated, sorry if this was asked elsewhere, search did not find it.
 
My Nissan NCD is ok, but the cockpit view of the GTR proto 05 has gone - or has it always been missing?

The car never had an interior as it's a prototype that's only purpose was the exterior cosmetics.
 
Maybe game data is to blame. Erasing and reinstalling might fix, but thats a lengthy process. if youve exhausted all other possibilities this might be the only way to fix.

Thank you for your suggestion. I did that yesterday and unfortunately it did not work. :sick:
 
It could be the disk, if a disk is scratched in any way it could lead to data loss that is lost until a new disk is bought
 
Before buying a new disc, try rubbing car polish on your current one to remove the scratches. I did this with my Xbox 360 discs (the 360 is notorious for damaging discs :indiff:) and they work like new now. I've not tried this with any blu-ray discs though, so please do some Googling before trying this method. 👍
 
Thank you all for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I am afraid the problem is more complex. The game will freeze everytime I try to access the detailed models of Nissan cars (say in photomode for example), or even in my garage.

My solution for now is not to use premium Nissans, and hope that a future patch magically helps me out, as I was fine just before 2.02.

I would think the best solutions for your problem have already been suggested. You just need to merge them together:

Borrow another GT5 game AND do a reinstall with that disc.

If that does solve the problem, you're better off buying another copy of GT5 for you, since that if you keep using your old one and it is indeed damaged, the problem could eventually resurface.

Happens to me. And backing out ends up in the game crashing. Does it with Toyota as well. Both happen in the UCD too.

Thank you for your wishes... I did all of what was suggested above including your suggestion and couldn't fix it :grumpy:

Unfortunate, and am wondering now if it could be my PS3 (launch system, never ever broken before), maybe the HD. It just surprises me how specific and contained this problem is (i.e. stamdard Nissans are ok).

I'm sorry it didn't work. If it is the HD (and it sounds like it) you're better off having a look at this thread for example:

Maybe you should try the 3rd option of recovery mode, as explained on the thread.

Or maybe doing a search about "corrupted hard drive".

In any case, consider making a backup of the entire HD content. When mine started doing things like that, it didn't take much before the PS3 wouldn't start at all. Then I had to change the HD, and lost everything in the process.

Mine does a similar thing only it does it with the Lexus UCD only, Paint thumbnails show up but no car pics, when I try to buy the car in the Lexus UCD the game freezes, though background music still plays and a GT5 logo in the bottom right of the screen is visible, but nothing works other than turning the PS3 off then on again. I am never able to buy a Lexus? WTF. I want the LFA
