Hey,

NFS Pro Street was one of my first games for PS3 (got that and Fifa 08 with my fatty for Christmas).

I was wondering, does anyone here still play it? If so, what is your favorite mode?

I am a big fan of the Drag racing mode. I am yet to find a game for the current gen consoles which have this "realism" in drag racing.

I WOULD still play it, but my disc broke...

Basically, I took my ps2 on Holliday to Cornwall with us, and had it hooked up to the tiny tv. The cables where dodgey and it was in black and white. But, long story short, I had my ps2 controller stretched to full extent across the room, and I tugged it, it pulled the ps2 off the table, the disc tray sprung open and prostreet flew across the tiled floor and scratched it so badly it wouldn't play. I was so peed off because I had bashed the game 2 days solid that weekend to beat Ryo, and I had the game completed, finally.

NFS has never been quite the same.....

I still play ProStreet on PC and drag mode is my favorite as well. I've done several careers and I still find it fun but the drag mode is a blast. Still do some LAN drag racing just to make it interesting.

Have a good one

I used to have it on both PS2 and PS3. I thought the drag racing was okay, but my favourite had to be the Speed Challenges.

Pro Street was also one of my first PS3 games, along with Midnight Club LA.

I really liked the the game, especially the customization, but unfortunately, the physics eventually made it unenjoyable for me to play. I traded it off to get GT5.

But I admit, the drag racing was cool. I especially loved the concept of the Speed Challenge and Top Speed Run events.

Thinking of buying it for PS3.
I've had it for PS2 but that didn't have the same features and damage

Yeh i Play it, was just fun and playable unlike the 5 N4S that followed. Wish online as still open

Quick question :

Is this anywhere near somewhat realistic to play with a steering wheel?

No, just doesnt feel right.

I still play it! Its has one of the better drag systems out there. Even if it does have some glitches with certain cars for fast times on it.

Had the PS2 version. Worst NFS ever IMHO :yuck: Loading times were extremely wrong, physics were awful, graphics looked like 🤬

Traded away the disc for a Megaman X Collection game after a week...

Playing the PS2 version now actually. It's a meh game, I'm just trying to beat it without spending a dime on anything.

I started out with the ps2 version back 2007, i admit i wasn't too impressed with it at first ether, but i got used to it, the fact the customizations were so good and they had a massive car selection that was good enough for me.👍 I had fun with it.:)

Whenever i saw other peoples cars on youtube in 2011 i became anxious to play it again and then i later found out the PS3 version had even more cars to pick from than the PS2, so i decided to get the PS3 version.:) Still love to play it.:)👍

That's true, but be warned the DLC cars essentially break the game. You get the Veyron or the McLaren online, then in-game they are free, so you can have one for each disipline, and as they are the fastest things in the game, you get the idea.

Indeed, you do i have a point.;) For people who just got Prostreet for the PS3 or Xbox 360, i don't recommend buying the DLC cars right away unless you have passed the game because being able to get a Bugatti Veyron and all the rest of the DLC cars for free with in game cash would certianly spoil the fun because they are so fast.

As for me however, i beat the game on PS2 years back and partly the PS3 version (until it corrupted:grumpy:), so it doesn't really matter for me. Tell you the truth i don't use the Veyron or all the other DLC cars all the time, i rotate between every race with any car i like so that way i can still enjoy the game and some of the other cars.;) I don't stick to just one car.

Though I haven't played recently, I have picked it up again and proceeded to do a self-imposed challenge deal. I call it the 'Cheap Bastard Challenge', and what you do is go as far in the game as you can with freebies, then when you stall out, run through everything again to get more.

Yes it's stupid, but considering that you can buy the best upgrades before leaving the Battle Machine ranks, it makes the game more challenging. My main problem is always what to do with my 240SX.

You can beat anything in the game with the Seat Leon Cupra. That hatchback fully modded & tuned correctly beats the Zonda's fully modded 1,000HP with it's 400HP+

I can believe that.;) The Mitsubishi Evo is like the best grip car, i have tested the Zonda, Ford GT and a few other super cars and i don't think any of them are as good as the Evo. Thats has always been my favorite grip car.

I always kicked 🤬 in this game, especially in drag racing. I have a red Viper that slaughters anything in a drag race (even itself sometimes ). For grip races, I used a 200+ MPH 350Z, until I lost it when my file went corrupt :grumpy:. And yes, I could control that in a Grip race. For speed challenges, I use a Ford GT, and for when it inevitably hits a telephone pole at almost 250 mph, I use a different Viper. Never was great at drifting in this game, mostly because the physics sucked. I also think ProStreet has one of the best soundtracks of all the NFS games. I think they should revamp it, revise it, make it into something people wil remember. Have Criterion do it. Now that would be a game.

CG makes amazing games but I don't want them going into the realism department. Yes ProStreet was a "sim" I use that not to heart but the game wasn't an arcade racer.

I played it on PS2 and got far in the career I bought my PS3 it came with Motorstorm that was it :D I just bought it used I might play it again :)

There was a period of time that I actually really loved the PS2 version (played really far into it), but I went back to it a couple months ago and good god was it awful compared to how I remembered it.

I was playing it a bit over xmas on my pc. I got a suped up Elise in the drag racing. Thought it would be funny to use a really light car vs muscle. I ended up breaking physics. Doing sub 7 second quarter miles with 350hp lol.
