Anyone know offhand how many paints there are?

Just curious what the odds are for landing a Matte or Chrome paint at your 30 mark for cars.

The odds of landing a chrome or matte paint at every 30 cars is 99%. The odds of landing a specific matte or chrome is probably a lot lower, like maybe 2%.

That would mean that there are 50 matte and chrome paints in the game and while I don't know the exact number, I know it's nowhere near that. I'd guess somewhere in the 20s which would make the probability of getting any one paint roughly double the one you posted.

And isn't a matte or chrome chip at every 30 cars an absolute certainty? What else have you gotten besides matte and chrome?

Basic math. If you have, say ten objects and are selecting randomly among them, then each object has a 10% chance of being chosen....1/10=10%.

In our example we know the percent (2%) but not the number of objects. So just place an x to represent the number of objects and cross multiply. You then get x=1/2% (or 0.02) which is 50.
