Anyone like using the Audi TT in the game?

Last night i thought i might buy the Audi TT so i could complete the Audi TT race series in Begginers league. I took it for a test run while it was stock (as i do with all my cars) and it didnt seem all that good. I decided to buy the best of eveything and it still seems failry crappy. It dosnt seem to handle all that well, the sound that comes out of the car is weak, and it revs out to quick...like you cant stretch the gears out. I was kinda dissapointed coz i like the car in real life.

Anyone here use it much?

Nope. I don't think anyone likes this car. I believe it's better in real life, though. Overall poor performance in GT3. Best avoided, unfortunately you must drive it at some point ^_^. At least you will learn to appreciate the better cars
 
I didnt like driving it when it was stock, it was slow and handle terribly. But I fully moddified it with a stage 2 reduction and T8 tires on it and it isnt to bad to drive now, but I dont like this car in real life so im not keen on it in the game either.
 
its not the most inspiring car in the game which is dissapointing because in real life the Audi Quattro is a legendary race car with a lot of history....and indeed in real life the Quattro TT is a decent car but its a pity the developers didnt include the awesome Touring car version which usually races against the Astras etc...

i hope in GT4 there will be the Quattro TT Touring or rally car...
 
IIIFFFFF your Audi TT looked like this i bet you would drive it more...

hope this is in GT4...(it bloody well should be)

yep i have it....but just coz its in concept dosent mean it will be in GT4....

if it is , i can see it becoming one of my fave cars, just out of looks alone.....oh okay, so i am fickle....but your drunk!!...so there.
 
Back on topic, yes, I like the TT fairly well. It does take some wrench work, but it can be dialled in nicely. The AI cars in the Amateur Cup are quite tuned up, though. Try a search for "Audi" in the "Settings & Tuning" board ("TT" is too short), and you should get decent results.
 
i hate it, i would rather put my tuning and testing efforts in something else
 
The Audi TT touring car doesnt win much IRL....Well all the races i've seen it hasn't done better than placing....

as for the game, its horrible..horrible horrible horrible horrible
 
Driftster, the DTM TT is crap until you turn asm/tcs off in GTC, then it handles great! (if it is the touringcar and not the tt from GT3 you mean..)
 
i did the TT series, and it was hell. then i bought a very crucial device, the VCD controller. man did it help i was having terrible front wheel spin. but then i changed to a mostly rear wheel balance and, instant relief!
 
Yeah thanks for your advice all. I'll do a search on settings for it and see what happens. Im glad im not the only one who thinks its fairly crummy in the game. Im doing the series now, and im finding it very borring.

I thought that i might have been playing with my EVO 5 too much, and every other car under 500Hp would seem crappy. Not the case tho, its just the Audi, it feels really slugish in every department. I mean its almost 400HP and it still feels really slow. I will try to reduce the weight of it and wack on some super softs..see it it makes a difference. My 300 and something MR2 G limited feels faster than the Audi!!

Ahh well. What do you get when you get gold in all the series? The same car? Heh.

I did notice one thing about the Audi tho, it has a reallllllly sensitive handbrake so yo get sideways verrry easy. :D

So its crappy for normal racing but i wonder how it would go if you set it up for drift?? Might have to try that.
 
One of the things that make the TT sucks stock is the drivetrain (for me). It's a 4WD but it feels like a FF. That's because it's like that in real life (Haldex diferential).
If you want to run the car stock and you want make it better, just buy the VDC.
 
Yeah i just completed the series in begginer last night and the TT was so crummy to drive with. I think it would be faster in real life.
 
kragbees, i like using MR cars too, esppecially the MR2- G Limited. It seems to have a really nice feel to it with decent power and balanced handling. It also feels really responsive.
 
The regular TT isn't that good, but the one in GTC is an absolute beauty.
 
I found a VSC does wonders for the TT; changing the front to the lowest setting cures the understeer-blues.
