Anyone remember the name of this old arcade sim racing game?

When I was 9 or so (19 years ago), my favorite game to play at the local arcade was a 2.5D, wireframe racing game with the most realistic clutch and shifter physics and setup I've experienced, even now. It's basically where I learned to drive a car with a manual transmission.

I want to see if I can find that game again for maybe a MAME setup or something. Anybody happen to remember a similar game?

Oh man, I think that's it. No idea why I thought it was wireframe. Thanks a lot!

I also don't feel so old now either. At least it was in color and sort-of-3D.

I remember playing this in an arcade in Florida when I was young, and couldn't even get the car moving because I had no idea how a real car worked!

Just amazing that 10 years later, home console games looked 100 times better (Dreamcast), no one would think of that back then in 1989 I think.
