Anyone still playing Panzergeneral ?

yes, I know it's a little old, but I just discovered that game ... 2 months ago: I run Linux as an operating system and I installed a game named "Lgeneral" , a free open source clone of PanzerGeneral.
Could someone please be kind enough to direct me to a good link or book about the strategy and details for this game ? I tried without success to win the 1st campaign.

I had a demo of that game years ago... It was mind numbingly hard... After that I never went back to it... (Though I do own a copy of Advance Wars 2... Starts easy then become ridiculously hard... But why am I talking about that game?)

Thanks for the gamesfaq link. I found some interesting Panzersomething games ( They all start with Panzer ).
Panzer Claws and Panzer Elite seems good. I selected those 2 because they are still available online from a Montreal computer books and games.

Oh yes, I found that Panzer General III from Mindscape Inc. is available too. It looks like the real stuff. I'll order tonight.
 
I bought the second version of the game a few years back. I must admit it is pretty fun but EXTREMELY challenging! I dont play it any more though. Sorry. Hell now that I think about it I dont even think I beat the first mission or whatever in the game! :(
 
Ok, I made up my mind: I'll purchase Panzer General III ( the 3D version ) , but I found a real gem and it's free : Steel Panthers. It's a long download ( 400 + MB ) and it's very detailed.
