I just saw this thing on the Internet and was wondering if anyone has tried it. I would love one of those perfect pedals but it's alot of cash. The Nixom mod looks like it could be pretty cool. Any feedback?

Edit: just realized it's "nixim"

I order the nixim mod back in Dec. and so far never received it nor will they reply to my e-mails. I'm starting to believe they rip me off.

I am very surprised by this, David responded to me within 20 minutes...I'll send him an email right now about your situation

Smidlee, I left you a visitor message, since I can't pm you

I have it in my G25 pedals, arrived a few days after i paid him.

It does make a good difference and the pedal feels much firmer and more 'real car like' Easily worth the money but i have heard they tend to break down over time - im not sure where i will go next, either CSP or Perfect pedal but the mod has certainly elevated the G25 pedals!

FWIW I used a piece of rubber hose, split it in the middle then trimmed on the edges like a butterfly till I got the feel I liked.

This is simple idea and easily made from home with some thought and trial and error. You will want something sorta soft and when it smashes it needs not take up a lot of room, ibggest reason I cut the relief in my rubber piece.

I can say this is an excellent mod for the brake. I got enough feel that to get full brake I actually have to push the pedal and not just step on it.

FWIW Mine is inverted in a custom steel cockpit, very solid mounting.

Can you post pictures of this? I cam not imagingin what "cut like a butterfly" looks like.

Also I think this is much easier for inverted pedal users as apparently closing up the pedals for normal use is quite a pain for each test.

Hi i have had this for well over a year with no problems on my g25 brake pedal, iam 6ft6 and 17stone and i stamp on it quite alot for hard braking and you will need to bolt your pedals down.

one other thing i have done is take the spring out of the clutch and put it into the throttle pedal as this gives you more feel with feeding on the power, it will be a bit heavy to your foot at first but you will soon forget about..

ive used it with gt5, and gtr evo, f1 2010, lfs on the pc.

hope this helps!!!:)

I would also like to see a few pics of this...

okay, I tried the hockey puck......I think it's gonna work great... I cut the foam street hocky puck into a long sliver that fits inside the spring, just as you would install the nixim mod, and it feels much more stiff,, and somewhat progressive...can't tell yet, as my pedals are apart because I painted my cockpit frame and will put it back together in the morning.. I'll update you all as to how it feels bolted in the cockpit, but from just pressing it on the floor I think it's gonna work well.
