Anyone here use the clip on concave triggers for the DS3? Does it give you any more control with the throttle and brake? How does the controller feel with it?

I want to try this before purchasing a wheel because over here in the US, few if any people are into racing sims - especially my friends.

I have larger hands than my Japanese friends over at Sony so things are a bit cramped at times.

Thanks

yep got them..
However I still use the shoulder buttons for gear changes, so can't help.

They are excellent for FPS games though:)

Yes, I do, and personally I feel I have much finer control of the brake and throttle than I would do otherwise as my fingers are less likely to slip off.

I have them, too, but I use the analog stick for gas/brake, and the top shoulder buttons for gears, so the triggers are irrelevant, for me, as far as GT5 goes.

In other games I'd say they are a definite improvement.

Hmm - the controller would be much better if it didnt have that deadzone from 3/4 to full "compression" in the motion. Im going to try and fab something up to prevent it from entering that deadzone on compression. Maybe just glue something to keep it from doing so.

Any ideas?

I use them to, and for a short race and license they are brilliant, but in a 20 lap race my hands get all cramped and my pinkies really start to hurt!

I use triangle for gear up and square for gear down. helps on the cramped feeling

got them because i use the triggers for gas/brake, and the shoulders to shift. by far, better than any controller setup i have used before. got into the habit with Initial D: extreme stage.
