I was drifting my 370z earlier and for once In my life I tried the interior view.
And I drifted brilliantly! I feel like I have more control and I know what my cars reaction before something happens.

Has anyone tried or used the interior view and actually preferred it to any other view?

90% of the time I use only premium cars to drift/race bc I like the interior view. It just works better for me. Most of my friends use the front bumper view and they can't use the interior view.

I do sometimes and I feel very comfortable with it however, I always feel I cant see how far the back is stepping out so I switch back to my prefered noobish 3rd person view.

I used to be able to drift in interior, but the hand motions are off from my wheel since it's 900 degrees and that really distracts me. Personally I find hood view much better.

In my opinion the only view that makes the game enjoyable for me is the roof/hood view. The chase cam is way too stiff and awkward for me, I much prefer the 3rd person cam that FM3 uses, as thats what I use to drift. The interior view is far too shaky for me, it seems to be a bit overdone. Also the fact that your drivers arms move so quickly and dont show 900 degree steering puts me off. I very much like the smoothness of hood/roof.

I use the FPS view with Just Gauges. The interior view is too restricting as you don't get a full field of Vision like in a real car. I need to see slightly to both my right and left sides.

I use the roof view, the higher angle allows me to see the apex better, and keep a tighter line overall, also using a G27 with the interior view and the driver only uses 90 degrees to either side really takes away from the effect.

personally i ONLY race in interior view, limits my car choice but, i got G25 + Obutto, so im not gonna be looking from the roof lik an arcader lol.. It is abit shaky, but so is RL driving. So its just a matter of gettin used too really. Hard the first day, easy'er the second, and on the third u cant play without it ^^ .. It's just the modern day spirit saying "if its hard the first time, then i wont try it again" that results in so few people using that view. I think its a shame really... Not only does it give u a better "feel" when we're talking sim. gaming. It also gives u better control over the car i think, since ur not driving sitting on the roof... And it makes u feel like ur playing something thats above need for speed most wanted.. But that might just be me :b

Interior for racing, hood or bumper for drifting.

I only use premium cars no matter what the category of driving might be.

I find drifting with the bumper cam too easy. I always use interior view, and only use standard cars for B-spec.

its alls i use weather im drifting racing or just messing.
i hardly use standard cars as i think they look like a ps1 game lol

I do it always! I can feel the slide(ance?) of the car better and controll it. N00BISH but it also sometimes helps me coordinate my wheel if i sometimes get confused but thats rare.
