Well I sure as heck am! Three years ago I drove 300+ miles to pick up a couple transmissions, an assortment of rotary engine parts for porting and a 4.444 gear set + pumpkin. Well after bsING for a couple hours, the people that I was buying the stuff from offered me a free... Mint leather interior that included one MINT leather seat... the interior pieces were swaped out with my old leather interior, and I planned to save the seat for GT when it came out..... well I just remembered the seat today and am on my way to pick it up from grandmamas lol.

Anywho, was wondering who else has a seat from their car in their living room. I need to check out some how to guides for making a base for the seat as I want the sliders to function.

I do have 2 car seats in my apartment that I use for GT5. Both are from my 1990 Audi 90 that I had to junk due to an engine issue after taking it to a mechanic that promised me he knew how to fix Audi's but in all reality had no clue.

Long story short, I kept the seats and a few other pieces from the interior before I junked it because I really loved that car and they are now part of my GT5 setup and everyday furniture.

Can we have pictures later?
I might see if I can find a car seat at the dump.

Dude that is righteous, I need me a plushier but supportive seat as I have no room in my current abode, but GT5 is a life partner so I have faith I'll be playing this for years to come.

I use a car seat out of a You guessed it an Opel GT I've yet to build a base as I'm still doing minor adjustments to the rig. As you can see the seat right now is on RV leveling orange blocks, I still don't like the way the inverted pedals feel with the height of the seat. Remember that you want your seat so you don't have to climb up to get out of it I had mine just on the wooden boards at first (real pain for an old man to get out of). If you look at the picture you will notice that I can adjust the wheel in/out/up/down, same with shifter. Later on I'm going to do something similar to the pedals so they are adjustable. I started with an adjustable tool stand from Sears but they don't sell the one I have anymore but this is almost the same thing here(http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_...1&blockType=G11&prdNo=11&i_cntr=1291845620975)

When done racing I can move the whole thing very easily.
Here are some photos More can be seen on my "Profile page":

I'm using a car seat from Jegs - for those not in America, Jegs is a performance parts company. Anyway, seat from Jegs, with their mount kit. Quite inexpensive and does a great job. I'll post a pic later of my setup.

I used to have a playseat but had to sell it as it took up too much space, I am now close to buying another one. How much are car seats down the used car place do you think?

I'll use a seat from a BMW E30, handbreake from same car and G27. All mounted to a wood frame. The slider function works propperly, and I'll upload som pix tomorrow if you want to see how easy and preatty neat you can make it. Ill prefere to call it girlfriend friendly:p

Well i would like to see your playseat , and i really wana know how to make a handbreak on my g27 >_<

I have a spare sport seat from my E30 BMW on rollers as a chair to sit in my office. Occasionally I'll carry it downstairs and use it with driving games - much better than the couch!

I am restoring my 77 Pontiac Trans Am and the passenger seat is in my game room. I have been using it because my computer/desk chair is way to stiff.
