:D I have a race ready to go for this "Rare Ride."

NTSC / Sharkport / Minimal "MK's" knowledge required.

Just tested the format & this race has more lead changes than I have "Fingers & Toes" to count 'em on! Post here or PM me if you're interested 👍 ...UB57 :D

If rally is involved, count me out. :( lol sorry, but I would be interested in something like a trail mtn./deepforest run.

I've never really run the stratos and I just checked it out... will engine upgrades be involved in this run? The stock form in my garage couldn't buy upgrades, but everything else was adjustable. 291 could be enough for fun, but 350 would be real nice. ;)
Anyway, ub, please keep us all posted in this thread... :D interest will develop Im sure.

:D Figured you three "Stalwarts" would be "Good To Go" for this one. Have to make an unscheduled trip to Austin today, will try to finalize & get this posted Mid-week. Maybe "Pokie" & some others from the Diablo Series will join in by then.

One HINT: This one's on "TARMAC" but if we have enough FUN I'll research a Dirt Venue as well. Thanx Again...UB57

I want a stratos and a diablo....I tried once and it deleted my game. haven't used gameshark since. Can someone post specs,pics or a video on the stratos?
 
Hrm. Well... I do have the Stratos thanks to CFM.... What the hell. Count me in.
 
In all of my game saves, I can't think of once having the Stratos. Or if I did have it, it didn't impress me much ;) :lol:

If someone would be kind enough to email me a .ini, I might be persuaded:cool:

:D As provided (read "Hidden") they're VERY weak. I'm quite sure the REAL reason they weren't included is that PD wasn't Finished with them
Have No Fear, I've "adjusted" the Road Version to reflect what IMO it "Should" have been. I'll be sending all participants an .ini file that includes all mods necessary.

:D Thought I'd post a bit here to explain why I want to Race the Stratos & not clog up the Race Announcement Thread. About 1978 I had the opportunity to DRIVE one of the six or so "Strati" in the USA at that time. I've seen a total of four of them in real life, but actually driving one was something I won't soon forget. Definitely the "Rarest" Exotic I'll likely ever have the pleasure to "Pilot." Legend has it that about 75 were built to make them "Legal" for Rallye Competition, but as the scrutineers were making their way down the line recording Serial Numbers, the ones which had already been checked were being "Disassembled" & returned to the shelves for "Back-up Parts." Someone must know exactly how many saw the light of day & motivated under their own power, but I certainly don't.

Unlike the Diablo, which I think was "Hidden" for purely political/legal reasons, my theory concerning the Strati is that PD for some unknown reason just never finished development. As even the FEW R/L Road cars were just racers w/out Numbers, I've taken it upon myself to finish the task for PD. Improvements have been made where I saw fit. I've tried to solve the problem of the front tyres "Bumping-Up" thru the fenders & you probably won't see them in your replay unless you really "Slam" the suspension settings. DO NOT change the tyres to any other setting or they'll revert to the default size which are WAY Too Tall & will definitely pop thru the fenders! Feel free to adjust chassis, brakes, LSD, etc., & change to a color you like from the very few available. But DO NOT mess with the HP Settings!

Unlike the Diablo Series, this time I tested with a HP level where I could BARELY Win the Race & then removed HP! I'm sure "GoKents", "GT3mich" & "Slowpoke" will win, but I figure at least "DerAlta" & I have our work cut out for us! "Goomba" & "1989therat" I have no idea about how you'll fare. Hopefully race will be announced tomorrow & an .ini file will be PMed to you. Good Luck! & Have FUN !!! 👍 ...UB57 :D

:lol: :lol: :lol: Believe Me, I considered it! With a bit more time I might've come up with a Handicap system where guys like Der Alta & myself get a bit more HP. I'm 45 minutes into what I'd hoped would be the "Final" test but am "kicking" the "AI's" butts w/less HP than the previous test. (Probably just gettin' used to the course), so may have to remove even more HP if you "Fast Guys" are gonna have any fun!...UB57

PS If I remember correctly, the Stratos' trunk only had about enough room for a brick in it!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
