I have a 92 Acura Integra. I am currently looking for OEM style Exhaust and cannot find anything for my car.

Every thing is either for the freaking 3 door or the d@mn Gs-R. I have been looking for months for new exhaust for my lovly 4 door, yet the only thing that I have found was an OE mid pipe from the dealer for $400+.

I am wondering what you guys would do about hard to find exhaust. I have gone to many auto part stores along with every muffler shop withen a 50 mile radius, and no one can find this piping, nor can bend this pipe for under $300.

I am starting to rip my hair out, and let me tell you I dont look good with chunks of hair missing.

I went and called every muffler shop in a 50 mile radius and the cheapest that I found for someone to bend a custom pipe was about $300.

And yes the Gs-R's are awesome.

When you can get some exhaust pipe at the auto store for $50 or less(and you know the shops get their stock for much cheeper than that), its seems a little ridulous to spend $250+ to have someone bend it to fit your car.

I used to go to a tech college and did their mechanics program, Ive bent exhaust before its really not that hard nor time consuming, so I dont understand how these shops can charge as much as they do.

Well they take there time to bend and test fit it untill it fits perfectly...

You can also ask for a specific exhaust system that has a specific diameter and bends...

Companies that make high quality exhausts test their exhausts for sound, flow, and probably other stuff, so paying $600 gets you a proven, high quality product. Paying $300 gets you a pipe that fits your car. Paying $0 and complaining about prices gets you a stock exhaust.

If you aren't willing to pay, why are you looking for an exhaust?

EDIT: If you buy a car that no one modifies, most upgrades will have to be custom.

Right now I have no exhaust, I have an exhaust manifold, flex pipe and a cat converter, thats it.

I just moved into a "High Class" community and I want to get it fixed before the rich bastages complain and I get stuck with a ticket or whatever.

I found out today that the only diffrence between the 3 door and 4 door Integras are the length of the mid pipe. So I guess I will get one of those and have someone weld an extention to it.
