Just wondered if this was possible now, i'm a pretty average driver at best, using a GTR-35, up against an R8 and the Courage, I'm 3rd after 16 hours, was 1st after 11 hours due to 1 hour of rain at the start (praying for more rain!)

The AI is doing 5 lap runs, I can only do 3 on race hards, lapping at 8:05 - 8:10 range. Silly thing is, when it rains i can chuck on the race softs and do 5 lap stints 2 minutes a lap faster than the AI ! If your going to amend tyre wear, fix that race softs/wet conditions issue ?

What race soft/wet conditions issue? Is it that you are just running on softs before the course is really wet? As soon as it starts the rain, the AI will put on rain tires, which are horrible before the surface gets wet enough.

I did it with a GTR-R35 as well. My strategy was to pit every lap with racing softs and only fill about 20% of fuel. It was less time consuming than pitting every 3 laps with racing hards and filling 60+% of fuel.

I did the same with the BMW v12 LMR and fill 15% every lap.

I won the Nurb 24H with the Peugot 905. It was pretty tricky, mostly because it rained from hour ~6 till the end. I used a Race Mediums in front and Hards in back, and pitted every 3 laps with full fuel. The AI pits every 5, so as long as you can churn out faster driving than them, you should win by a good margin. (I won by 3.5ish laps. The AI get really stupid on their last lap before pitting and go like 50mph through the whole track)

Good luck.

What race soft/wet conditions issue?

Race softs are quicker than wets in the wet !

21 hours in, might try the race soft/pit every lap sugestion

Thanks

Which has more endurance? I'm currently only able to do 5 lap stints in Sarthe 24 Hours because it's at 100% water, and the tires are pretty bad once you get 1/3 of the gauge left.

Race softs should last and return the quickest times even in 100% rain, the last update has changed the tyre characteristics slightly, but softs still the quickest
