Hey guys, I scored a couple seats from a 93 Prelude today so my racing rig build just got into gear. While a full cockpit would be SWEET, my situation dictates a wheelstand + seat solution for now. I like the looks of this rig...
From what I could find out from forum posts and the info on the page and whatnot it's a one man operation and he was looking to enter production with an all aluminum version. Looks like the original style units were selling for about $250 (from an earlier forum post) but I can't really seem to find much more out than that.
I just like the idea of no leg post, foldable, and the shifter position, plus it can use other wheels w/o adaptors by the looks of it.
if you were willing to gp $250 on that maybe try the Apiga? you can turn it into a full cockpit and it looks real nice. but i think the rennsport looks great and is the most id pay for just a stand. looks like the fairest price of any retail mounting solution i have seen.
It looks nice, but it appears you have to remove the wheel and pedals for storage, something I dont have to do with my WSP. Or the RSWS for that matter.

Yeah, I don't know if the ApexVStand was worth $250 to me, and I did email APIGA, by the time all was said and done there you were looking at almost $340 with the shifter mount and shipping from Hong Kong and all.
I don't want to buy a whole cockpit setup now, for both money and space. I figure between my generic racing arcade cab (project) and my wheel stand and my car seat seats I'll be pretty covered, and someday I'll go the whole nine and get a Rennsport or something.
