Recently encountered a few problems with the iOS app. Maybe down to the phone but I just want to know I'm not the only one.
•Crashing
•When I open a thread sometimes it loads as a blank grey screen.
•Sometimes messages and posts don't send or it takes too long so I cancel then it has sent.

I'm not moaning I would like to know I'm not the only one.

P.s I would like more smileys for the app.
 
These are all problems I get too, but they aren't too much of a problem, they happen quite rarely. And we do have all the smileys, just click this post and you'll see them. 👍:cheers::sly::irked::grumpy:

The GTPlanet App is riddled with glitches and issues that it would take me hours to list them (I've had over 3,000 posts on it). The issues you mentioned have pretty much always been there and probably wont be fixed any time soon. If the app is frequently crashing and inconveniencing you, delete it and re-download it.
 
I have some similar problems with the iPhone app. The banned user thread cannot be viewed without the app crashing due to the massive list of names. The "Sending..." screen also freezes more often than not, although hitting cancel and refreshing the page always solves this and the reply is posted. Probably 10% of all sent replies from the app result in an error which causes the reply to not be posted. This is particularly devastating when you have to re-type a multi- paragraph post.

Yep. A solution is to copy n paste before hand but it does get tiresome.

I pretty much always do this when I've typed a long or complicated post.
 
Encountered plenty of problems, enough to cause me to delete the app and only post via Safari Web Browser (iPhone) or my PC (rarely).

Youre not the only one.
The Android one just plain sucks.
The forums dont load.
I dont get updated info on messages
it doesn't tell me if messages are sent
I switch to full site and cant switch back
Why would they even have that option...
I do have a browser... like all phones
 
Im getting the impression the people or "moderators" who run this site are as good as the app

I just had a look at the BUL on my phone and it loaded just fine. That then leads me to believe that it's either a hardware or cache issue with the iPhone, not necessarily the app.

Most likely, however the cause is down to the BUL being one huge post. If it was split into multiple posts then it wouldn't crash the app.
