So, the Apple conference which will almost certainly reveal the iPad 3 starts in around 40 minutes. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing how Apple will move the tablet market forward. This thread is for discussion on products revealed and reaction.

Don't worry, in a few months the one that's launching today will be outdated :lol:

I don't think we will be seeing any major shocks this year, its just going to be a gradual update to the existing line (no brand new crazy products). I really want to see an Apple HDTV but I think that's for another year.

True. New iPad will probably be slightly slimmer and have a new processor. Apart from that it'll be most likely identical.
 
New 1080p Apple TV revealed by Apple. According to the feed IOS 5.1 will also be made available today.
 
Sadly its Apple TV the hockey puck device and not a TV. The last incarnation wasn't all that well received and it was cheap for a reason, especially compared to the first generation one.

According to some leaks the iPad 3 might actually be thicker! probably to accommodate a better battery and more powerful processor.
 
Anyway, iPad 3. 264 pixels per inch. Thats 4 times the pixels of iPad 2! Quad-Core A5X chip, 4 times the graphics performance. The camera from the 4S, Dictation, 4G. The 4G can do 5 downloads in the time it would take 3G to do one.

4g in the uk? Who is getting a 4g model in blighty? Seems an awful lot more money over the wifi model for something we can't yet use.
 
Looks very nice. I think I will be picking one up in NYC when I visit there early April (cheaper than over here).
 
iPad 2 remaining on sale, but with a $100 price drop, now $399 for 16GB wifi.
Okay, so its all done. The new name seems to be just 'new iPad', and they finished with a sceen saying '2012, thre's a lot to look forward to'. Interesting...

They must be planning something interesting. Retina Display touchscreen iMac or something?

I can't wait for that day. I've heard rumours that MacBooks are heading towards the Air design-wise. It should be pretty interesting to see the results of all the speculation.
 
^Yeah, I can't wait to see what Apple comes up with next. For those of you with an Apple account, the keynote is available for download for free. Just search 'apple keynotes' and look for yesterday's date. :)
