i manage to get 1'1.764 with a 829hp, f94/s (220.4 miles) i know its kinda slow but it took me 3 laps to achieve by trying to beat myself. also when i saved the replay it said the car only has 779hp...wtf?
does anyone know where i can find the fastest laps for any car & any track?
ill post a pic to prove my time later

Check into www.racing-line.org. You can search by track, and car configuration (FR, MR, FF...).

According to them, that time lands you at Number 53 on the leader board. fastest time on that track with that car is 52.575seconds.

If it's any consolation, you're only two seconds behind me at 59.775 (which I haven't registered).

It will only state the actual HP of the car (without Oil change) so it's no big worry.

Good luck.

AO

I'll have to give this a try. That car is awesome and I sorta miss Apricot Hill.

Just sat down and knocked out a 57.980 after about 5 laps...it's been a while since I ran the F094/s.

I'll sit down later this week and put some more laps in.

edit Woah, it has been a while since I drove one of the F1 cars...my old record at Racing-Line is 54.741 with the F686/m.

Definitely should improve on that with the 094.

You could also check GT3Times website.....there is a database with thousands of user times for every car and track in the game.

Well I finally had some time to give this a try and I came out with a 1:00.174. Those last two numbers might be a little off. I need to start writing it down. But 1:00.1XX for sure. Fifty three seconds is amazing. I doubt I could ever pull that off. But I'll try some more and shoot for the 58's. Should be do-able.

I was able to chisel this down to :59.7XX last night. There are so many places I can save time, especially the hairpin and the chicane at the end. And that's like half the course

During the first running of the FGP over at the GTF, we learned that the real key to busting out a fast time at AHR is being able to 'grab' the rumblestrip on the big 180 sweeper without getting into the dirt...

I've seen drivers holding 175+ mph around that turn, which is worth up to 2 seconds on the lap time...

Thats one of my favorite corners in GT3, both directions that corner is a blast. But boy oh boy its about one of the hardest apex's to hit dead perfect when going flat out but when you do you'll :D

I'll buy that. There's a narrow window to hit. To tight and your sucked into the dirt and two wide and you're way out to the right on a bad line.

I think the final chicane is important, too. If you hit it just right there is very little turning involved, and more acceleration.

i was just doing a free run on this this afternoon. i think i managed a 56.xxx. i was happy since my previous best was around a 58.xxx.

is there anyway possible that some of you could post like some settings that would help me improve my times ive been playing this game for a year and still cant figure out how to do settings good enough to get my times down at the moment with the F094/s is 1.04.362 thats as low as i can get them i just cant do settings they confuse the hell out of me please help me

Hmm. I cracked 59 seconds using default f094/s settings.
I did 1.02. with default f090/s settings racing the Formula GT... I cheated, though. I cut the last chicane before the big left-> right sweep. And 1.01 with the f686/m (default settings), again racing the Formula GT.

Could be your lines? Or you're braking too much when entering the corners.

I got my time down into the :58's. I think if I had a wheel I'd be faster all around. I love watching the replays of this car on this track.

My top time is 0.57.583.
The make-or-break sections of the track are the first turn after the start/finish straight away.... and turn 5 (the turn before the big left turn sweep).
I think I'm losing time in the big left sweep, too. Generally I go from, I think, 140 mph to about 160 mph at the peak. It doesn't feel right because I have too much control over the car while I'm turning...

If I can hit those a little cleaner and faster, I can probably break into the high 56's.

It's tough... I'm always losing grip during the first turn.

What line are you guys taking for that turn?

I have my car set up so that from the straight away... I just barely scratch top speed before entering the turn. About halfway into it I let go of the steering and pound on the brakes. This'll let my car drift into the turn... but it's tricky because sometimes the car will drift too much INTO the turn and hit the grass... or not turn at all and go off drifting towards the sand.
Either way... at the end I'm in 3rd gear reving up for the next set of turns.

I agree with you there. I have been taking a couple different lines in the first turn. One is faster but takes me all the way to the rumble strip to the right and I end up drifting into position to exit the turn, which I don't really like. The other line is much tighter and less eliptical, but slower and more difficult to get into position.

The long left is either done right or not. In fact, I can tell if it's even worth trying to beat my best by the time I'm one third through that turn, maybe sooner. I try to not touch the rumble strip, though, because it sucks me in every time.

I ticked mine down to 00.56.161.

I used a slightly different set up this time around. I upped the brake balance to... I think 10 or 11 from the default 9.

The car doesn't drift as much anymore when I go into the first turn... it slows down quite a bit and gives me FAR more control when accelerating into/out of the exit. So that bought me a bit of time.
I picked up more time at the huge 180 left. I managed to maintain 158 - 160 going through the entire turn... peaking at about 165 off into the grass.

Not very clean... but I improved my lap time.

How does adjusting the brakes give you more control while accelerating?

I improved mine, too. I'm into the low 58's now. I haven't changed my settings. But I can say that my brakes were already in the high teens, probably something like 20/17. I'm still wondering what changes would help me. I've had really good luck with these settings on Cote and Seattle, but AH is a different course.

Well, the acceleration itself isn't affected. But when I slam on the brakes the car is more stable this time around. So I get more grip when exiting.
Also, I'm pretty sure that the angle of my car was a little better this time. I think I was running more into a straight line when I started breaking so the car didn't slide off as much as it did in my previous runs.
I don't think raising the brake balance by 2 levels would do any noticable changes... so I'm betting I just got a little lucky and hit the turn with a cleaner line.

How do you maintain such a good speed going through the long 180? I'm at about 160-2 exit speed, and as low as 140 going in. I'm pretty sure I'm not entering the turn at a good angle, thus forcing me to slow down too much.

Are you entering from the far right? Braking down to 140 and accelerating to the left?

I just recently found out that you can enter the turn from the left-middle area side of the track.

I just watched my replay and as I entered the turn I peaked at 6th/163 mph... then I put on the brakes and dropped down to 5th/145 mph... accelerated to the high 150s mph through out a good portion of the turn. Then finally peaking out at about 163 mph.
I was actually clean in this turn... it must've been a previous run where I went shooting off into the grass.

By the time I put on the brakes to enter the upcoming hairpin I peaked at 198 mph.

Hmm. Maybe saying "I maintained 158 - 160 through the entire turn" wasn't a good idea. Sorry if that seemed a bit misleading.

And for further comparison my T1 time was 00.09.090 and my T2 time was 00.38.807.
I hit about 209 mph at the end of the start/finish straight away before entering the first turn... then braking hard down to 3rd/83 mph before I started to accelerate at the exit.

Hope that helps.

I love this course so I thought I would give it a try with the F1s. At my first session, I was able to get a time of :56:871. Not bad, but I know I can do better. The car was making sparks down the long straight when I hit around 197MPH, so the car is dragging on the ground. If I raise it a little bit more, I'm sure I'll get a better time. The brakes were set to high, also. You don't need much braking in the majority of turns and chicanes on this course, so reducing the brakes should help.

Most of the time I like using the Supras for this course. Yep, because of the time trial in the Arcade version. My best time in the TT with the Castrol Supra is 1:15:887, but with a stock Denso, it's 1:14:827. The Denso stock with an oil change and SS tires will run at 1:12:104.

OK, I was able to reduce my time to 55:950, but I can still do better. My current problem is getting the car to not slide out or fishtail when braking around the long left turn at the end of the long straight. On the lap that I got my best time, I nailed almost perfect, but screwed up on the chicane at the end, which is usually no problem for me.

I noticed that raising the F1 car made me slower, so I put the front height setting to 45 (lowest), and the rear to 48, and it improved my time. I reduced the camber angle in the rear to .7 and again, I improved my time. The front remains at 3.4, BTW. The spring rate is still 12.1 front, 12.9 rear, and the bound/rebound is at 3 front, and 5 rear. I'll fool around with the settings some more, so 53 seconds, here I come.
