On New Year's Day, my best friend and I made it a three movie day at the theater. Timed it so there were 60-90 breaks between each movie. Saw Ralph Breaks the Internet, this, and Spider-Man: Enter the Spider-Verse.
Aquaman was big and loud, a little silly, and a lot of fun. Jason Momoa has a similar stage presence to Dwayne Johnson, powerful yet charming. The plot was long, but not unnecessarily complicated. Good acting from all the leads. I was particularly impressed by Patrick Wilson as orm. His performance was perfectly restrained, walking the fine line between reason and madness the whole film.
It's not the best superhero film ever, but it's much better than just about every other DCEU outing that wasn't Wonder Woman.
