Before the Track Day and regional success of the CR1, there was the car that started it all: the SR-1. In 2007 after years of regional Formula Ford Success, Aquila had began developing its first Sports Car. The aim was to make a light and powerful GT car that could take on the established cars at a far cheaper price. It featured a Aluminum Monocoque chassis and was powered by a 4 Liter BMW V8, producing 320 Horsepower and transferred through a 6-Speed Sequential Gearbox. This would add the Aquila name to GT as well as the first Danish Sports Car company.
Engine: BMW M60 4.0L Naturally Aspirated V8
Horsepower: 320 hp
Transmission: 6-Speed Sequential
Weight: 890 Kg
Drivetrain: RWD
