AR Max help

Maybe I'm just not good at searching for relavent posts, but I am trying to build a hybrid w/o an x-port. All I have right now is Action Replay Max. Is this possible?

All the searching I have done seems to be for AR2 or GS or something else other than Max.

I have an x-port in the mail, but it won't be here for a week or so, and I guess I am impatient, b/c I can't wait that long.

Is it possible to build a hybrid with AR Max?

Thanks everybody, I have been playing GT3 forever, and I am looking to make it NEW to me again with a few fun hybrids.

Here is a link to a thread at Ps2Newz . in this thread there is a link to download a code converter for Ar max. I haven't used it, so your on your own from here.
 
I have that and have used it to convert codes for people on another board, unfortunatly I have no way of testing if the codes worked or not, since I don't use a max.
 
is there a reason why there is such a LACK of codes for GT3 using AR MAX?

Tons of stuff for GS2V2 & GS2V3, and others, but only some common ones for AR MAX.

Aren't they all capable of the same type of hacks, I assume they just have different ways of encrypting the hex codes.

BTW, I tried the MAXcrypt program from the link that Heydu provided, but it looks only useful in decrypting AR MAX codes, not converting from one to another.

The main code i wanted was a code to freeze the timer on license tests. It only seems to exist for the UK version of GT3!!??
 
I've tried that code, unfortunately, the only thing it does for me is start the timer at 6 seconds, making it nearly impossible to even get a bronze.

Is there a button combo to make teh timer stop after this code is applied? I seem to recall having to hold a button down for GT2 timer freeze.

It starts at 6 sec, i.e. giving me a 6 sec disadvantage.

Do you just enter the code and it automatically stops it at 6?
Or do you hit a button to stop it?

Hey, In Gran Turismo 3 you're supposed to press L3 (without any other buttons pressed) to freeze the time. And to make the time "unfreeze" or somethin press R3 (same don't press anything else).
