.........................Just wanted to come in and wish the best of luck to all drivers and teams as we begin to wind up this comp ... It's been a great 6 rounds and very tight racing from everyone I hope someday to post an A.R.C#3 comp but that will depend on interest .. hopefully we can find another way to run this differently again but I wouldn't be upset if we have run the A.R.C as far as it will go, cos it's been a blast! I'm always up for a bit of Rally To all you guys ( quite a few who have run both comps at that ) you got my thanks and Respect Well done If anyone has Ideas for future comps on a similar yet new format ... feel free to post your suggestions or PM me and we can look into a new time filler between us As 1 comp closes another is being thought up It's an addiction to a great Game as well as keeping in contact with great friends you make along the way, I wouldn't have it any other way

👍 First of all thanks to Mr P for another great ARC series. It has been a blast.

Well in retrospect now I would have been up for a ten round race as after this week I have nothing to do. Well racing wise that is.:)
But I thought we should post this as I would be interested in doing it again in another month or so. See if we can get one more in before GT4.

eggman queried about using 6 to 10 sim cars and I was wondering the same thing. Maybe even a wide range of cars such as the Altezza LM, FTO LM, Opel, Clio, RGT, Fully modified Xsara or Beetle Cup Car, Elise, Impreza LM, Opel Astra/Calibra, Spoon Civic, Mines Lancer etc, etc. It may provide for some interesting strategy as some may go for a win and used a big gun car early just to get a win while it may take some real planning and strategy to use each car on the best track and bag the season title.

Another thought is there are numerous non R-body cars that can be given a similiar tune and run one per track such as:
Celica GT-FOUR
Impreza WRX STi Sedan
Evos
Beetle RSi
Audi S4
there are more I was working on a bunch of them to run a series last year but I never got around to it.

So what does everyone think?

Lets have some discussion here:

:D I too must extend A BIG "Thank You" to Mr P for another "Job Well Done."

I have only one suggestion for A.R.C. III: PLEASE keep the "Team Format."
The "Interaction" I had with my phantastic, phabulous Partner "phattboy" was indeed the "Highlight" of this or any other OLR experience I've had. What a "Hoot"!!! Took me over an hour just to clear all the old PMs relating to this series out of my mailbox!   ...UB57 :D

Lots of thanks from me too. This has been both fun, exciting, challenging and very instructive. Can't ask for more.

Furthermore Mr P has done a tremendous work with organization, keeping deadlines, leader-boards de luxe, etc. All the things that keep the spirits high among us racers.

Like UB57 I'm also very fond of the team format. Simply brings an extra dimension in the competition.

I've been looking at the old threads from the ARC#1. One thing from that series I noticed, what that the number of cars equaled the number of races. Forcing the racers to use all the available cars, adds some more tactical considerations. Fantastic idea in my opinion. 👍

The mixture of dirt and tarmac in this series is close to perfect. It has been giving me the necessary variation to keep up my spirits. The same thing goes for the number of races.

Looking forward to participate again. :)

THANKS MR. P!!! JOB WELL DONE!!!

I know this is an echo of the sentiments of all to post so far here and likely a foreshadow of those who will yet post. This series has been about as much fun as can be had with this game and I just want to be sure I put in my two cents. You put a lot of work into this!

I also agree with UB57 and Niels! The TEAM format GAVE this series something EXTRA!!! My teammate UB (who got me into this BTW) was SUPER!!! and spent quite a bit of time charging me up. I think that probably happened across the board and therefore made the competition tighter. I vote you keep that for ARC III.

I also like the idea of limiting the number of cars to the number of tracks.

Hard to say what else could possibly make this any better!
