ok so I am a n00b to arcade.....

I was racing this morning and something really weird happened.
I hopped into my v8 vantage for 2 laps of midfield on "easy" and thrashed the opposition....
i stopped the car at the begining of the straightnear the end of the first lap and waited for the rest to catch up. when they did i took off with them to see what was holding them up. the lead car reached an amazing top speed of 145km/h on the straight!!!
yes km/h!
why were they going so slow?
i always thought that "easy" ment that there was only 2 laps "medium" is 3 laps and therefore harder (in some way!?!) and hard.... well a whopping 5 laps!@

I had no idea that the dificulty setting retarded the speed of the ai too.
i guess everyone else knows this tho. it's just new to me :)

the cars i was up against were cappable of alot more than 145 on that straight!!
 
Yes I've noticed this myself at the start when you accelerate away in easy mode your past most of the cars by the 1st corner in pro you maybe take just 1 car.
 
yeah on easy the AI throttle is retarded back so that they cant reach their "real" top speed, guess thats why they called it "easy" :D

i usually do but i only had time for a couple of quick laps :)
 
Wouldn't your lap times be the same regardless of what difficulty setting the AI has?
 
well yeah, but their lap times are tottaly different! :odd:
 
Well obviously, because Professional means they're going to be harder/faster than Easy..Duh. ;)
 
enuff of that from you sir!!! :p

but easy they dont break 145.673ish km/h...
