I understand that in normal race condotions the tyres come on and off, i find in the middle stint the tyres work best which then poses the following question. In arcdae mode you choose the tyres BUT there is no tyre wear at all, so why is it when doing this track i keep bettering my time on lap 5/6/7 out of 10 when on time trial on arcade mode. This to me is madness. I challenged a friend of mine to get the quickest lap around it without chaning any of the settings, we both found that by lap 5/6/7 we were beating our previous times but then it took another 10 or so laps before another really proud of lap came about. im not the best yet not the worst driver so i dont believe it is me but if ne1 no's if tyre wear does occur without telling you in arcdae let me no please!!!!!!!!!!.
If you want to try it yourself you need to go to arcade mode and choose the f1 car, put on hard tyres but dont change any other settings on it. you might find you get a quick lap but then it takes about 5 laps and suddenly you pull out a new quickest lap by some 2 seconds but then drop off again, its mental i tell ye, mental!

There's no tire wear, you just get in the zone after a few laps. By lap ten or after you're less interested in it so you don't crack out fast laps as easily.

I know the weight of gasoline effects your speed in GT mode, but I am not sure whether it effects in Arcade mode or not.

Yeah, it's just what usually happens when racing a track for a lot of laps. You improve your time for the first 5-10 laps or so, then you slow down a bit and can't get back in the groove, then all of a sudden everything clicks and you knock a couple tenths off your time again. It's not the tires, it's just learning and relearning the track and such.
