this is of topic but could a moderator/administrator make a new thread in the other race games sub forum?

if possible i would like to see a thread about arcade racers. games such as sega's daytona usa 1&2, sega rally's, outrun, scud race, indy 500, ace driver etc. there is no place on these boards to talk about these games to do online games or help give some tips etc.

its really a shame considering games like nfs are featured in their own sub forum, but the real quality and some of the greatest arcade racers ever created are not.

thanx in advance.

Those type of threads would go in this forum. Generally, we don't create a sub-forum unless there is a need for it, and the lack of threads on these games would indicate there isn't a need for it.

im surprised there is no love for these games on a gt forum. its cool, if nobody here likes quality arcade racers why bother making a thread for it. you think its worth making a thread in the link you gave? if its really that bad here, i probably shouldn't even bother with it.

There are people like you who like arcade racers, however this is a Gran Turismo forum and thus is focused primarily on Gran Turismo, arcade racers take a lesser priority. If you like arcade racers, the current popular one is NFS Most Wanted with nearly 3,000 posts there. Also read this,
You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

the controls of nfs are not nearly as good as the arcade racers that were actually released in the arcades.

also its a lot of trouble for me to type with capital letters and ' at all times. im not english and i usually type on ps3, my language setting on ps3 also isnt english so its a lot of work just to type a normal message, let alone using cpaital letters and ' signs all the time.

im not using profanity nor am i using grammer that is terrible or unreadable. you have to understand that not everybody is from the US or the UK. a little bit pf tolerance for people whos primary language isnt english wouldnt be such a bad idea.

There are a lot of people who aren't native English speakers, yet have better English than those who have spoken it their entire life.

If you look at it like that, there's fish that can fly better than some birds.:O

As you know most fish can't fly, and there are birds that can swim better and faster than some fish.

We have tolerance for those using English as a 2nd (or higher) language, but capital letters and punctuation are pretty much a constant across many languages. I'm pretty sure you use capital letters at the start of sentences in your language too, so there's no excuse for not using them in English.

You will also note the AUP doesn't say, "Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters. However, if you are using a PS3 to post, then you are free to post however you like."

Any device that you can use to post here has capital letters and punctuation. You are expected to use them irrespective of the device you use.

Having said that, your post above is a vast improvement. 👍
