I was just wondering, is there a difference in car handling, acceleration etc between acrade mode and turismo mode?

atm i have all the cars i want. i spent ages taking all the mods off my cars and selling and rebuying those that had irreversable mods just so i had a bunch of my fav cars in stock mode.
I decided to use my s4 in a pro mode race in arcade and it took off like a frigin bullet leaving the field behind. the only mod my s4 has is different wheels! can it be explained as to why afet 4 corners on midfield i had a 2-3 sec break on the pack?
why was the car so fast?

is there evedence of AI cheating in arcade races?

hmm....:odd:

The only diffrence i ever noticed between arcade mode and simulation mode (im in america) is from gt1, the cars in arcademode were more "pick up an play" compared to the learning curve required in simulation mode, the cars didnt spin out as easily in arcade mode, they turned tighter at high speeds..and more...i cant remember..i didnt notice a difference in gt3 though

maybe it was the cars i was against then.

R32 or some description
fiat
mitsu gto
umm... cant remember what else...

I think Arcade mode is actually a bit tougher. I mean, just look at the differences. You can toss a 1000hp Skyline in with the beginner 4WD in the Simulation/Turismo. Sure this is just an extreme example of what I'm talking about, but you get the point. I personally go back through those to stomp the living hell out of them so I can reaffirm my manly maness. :P However in Arcade mode, the races are much closer.

Although, Simulation/Turismo takes much longer to beat.

I've been trying some arcade races latelly and have noticed that races are (even) easier if you use your garage cars even if they are untunned.
I havent compared hps but maybe the arcade cars dont have the oil change and mileage boost(?)and I dont know what you get with the "racing pack" in terms of tyres (R-medium or normal?)

Also, if you choose a car with all mods except NA tun/turbo kit you get more or less the same opponents which seem very little varied. If say you boost you Evo VII to around 400 hp with all the lightweight, suspension, etc, but NO turbo kit, you may get the 55AMG, Gran Sport, Mustang but nothing bigger.
Another arcade favourite is the (nearly) all british cars - MS elise, Elise 190, Griffith, Esprit (and the Z06) that you're usually up against when you go for a 350-420 hp (stock) car.Sometimes there's also the Zonda C12 (not the S) and then you may have some more fun.

If, for instance, you chosse a rally car (or the Clio Race car)you get stoch EVOs, rx-7, etc. NOT other rally cars!
On the other hand you can get JGTC cars against your Mini!!!

Arcade should be easier, Hard mode is barely a challenge when using cars the same as the opponents...also, in simulation, most cars will be upgraded in some way. In arcade though, they are bone stock (or so I've heard).

I use the arcade mode only when I have to. I think it's retarded. I hate it when you use a vehicle that is obviously not set up to race on that track, because you used it for a short course race in simulation mode, and the computer dosen't change the settings automaticlly. They should have allowed us the ability to at least set the gear ratios.

If the "Hard" difficulty setting is to easy, press down on R1 and L1, and hold it down, at the same time to reveal the "Professional" setting.

i'd say pro is even easier because you've got ten laps to work on a huge lead; plus, the ai cars never get the right tyres and always pit!

Really? I never knew that. Heh.

I never tried the pro setting, because of the retarded thing, remember.:D

when i run in arcade i run in pro. my cars are COMPLETELY stock, no tire changes, no nuffin. I dont even do a oil change.
It's just all so bizzare!
oh well.
for ten laps with a stock vantage v8 and i have to pit every 4 if i take it easy or 3 if i start pushing it (1-2 if i am going crazy :D ).

I didn't even know that there was a pro mode in GT3 until I found this forum yesterday. It had never crossed my mind to try holding down L1 + R1 on my controller in that menu.

I knew it existed in Concept, but never did the thought cross my mind that they might have put it in GT3... At least they do pick more decent cars in Pro, so if you pick similar level modded cars (other than tyres, cause they always run out so quickly on the AI cars.. They do 5 laps, and I can do15-20 on my super hard racing ones.. Why would you go with softer tyres in a 2+ hour enduro.. Hello!!!!) then they are at least alot closer in performance than even the hard level (which is plain easy to beat). I've only had 2 races, and thought that in the two (I had much crappier cars than the AI) races I tried at pro level, they seemed much more capable. Even more capable than the cars in sim mode.
