Is anyone else hugely enthusiastic about the ancient Mexican ruins in the game? I live in Belgium and visited Mexico in spring 2018, I was absolutely blown away by these Aztec and Mayan ruins. The sites I visited are Teotihuacán (that one impressed me the most), Monte Albán, Ek Balam, Palenque, Chichén Itzá, Tulum. Turns out 3 of the 6 places I’ve visited are included in FH

Other sites confirmed via the map reveal of Let’s Go Episode 5 but no in-game footage yet:

Ek Balam is one I visited and already confirmed. ☺️ I still remember the steep stairway all the way to the top of the biggest temple. I hope Teotihuacán (doubt it, it’s so big in scale) or Monte Albán (fingers crossed) will be confirmed as well. More sites have been confirmed in the Let‘s Go! Episode 4 so I’m curious what else we will see.

I've also been to Teotihuacan...way back in the mid 90s. It was pretty awesome. I would be happy if they included it.
 
Whoa...Teotihuacan is actually included....and it appears to be a drag strip. :lol:

I was about to come post about it here, OMG!!!! They DID include it!!! ❤️❤️❤️ And yeah it’s a perfect location for a dragstrip, genius idea! 😎😎😎 Can’t wait to see some drag clips with the sun and moon temples in the background. 😁 Tulum was also included, Mike mentioned all of them but I didn’t understand the other ones. I’ll rewatch the video soon, I’m still admiring the map and the roads at the moment (the full map In 4K is on Twitter).
 
Dug up some pictures of my 2018 Mexico trip and more in particular Teotihuacán. I assume the drag race starts at the temple of the sun, doing it in the other direction doesn’t make any sense at all IMO.

I indicated on a couple of pictures of what I assume will be the drag racing direction. Can’t wait to see this in game! 😎

The temple of the moon and the square in front of it, this is where the drag race presumably starts: (marked by the arrow for racing direction)

The long avenue is called Calzada de los Muertos, hence it is now the drag strip of the dead! :lol::gtpflag:

I updated the topic post to include all archeological sites. The last one I didn’t understand immediately form the livestream are the Giants of Tula. Looks pretty neat as well. Once we get new footage of the new temple sites I’ll add it to the topic post as well.

Still a bit strange they didn’t go for Monte Alban. That site was so wide open (it’s almost like a soccer field) with some buildings in the center and many around the edges that I think it would have made a very nice area for Playground games.

The strong axis is actually aligned to the Pyramid of the Moon (your first picture) - the Pyramid of the Sun is off to the side. For whatever reason, that's the way they planned it.

*Just verified on google earth

Looks like they really nailed down the looks of the different environment types too. Will definitely be spending time just droning around the ruins.

Ooh darn, was thrusting the geo location name from my iPhone tags but I thought that was where i was standing, not what I was taking a picture off. 😅

ill swap out the names later (work now), thanks for the correction!
