The problem with the favorites list (if it still works like is did in GT5, I haven't used it yet in GT6) is that when you go to enter an event and you view the list of cars that fit the requirements of the race it shows all the cars in the garage regardless of whether they are favorited or not, and if you view your favorites list it will show all of your favorites regardless of whether they meet the event requirements or not.That's what favorites are for.

So the only way for you to view a list of just your favorite cars that also meet an event's requirement is to only have favorites in your garage. That was not possible in GT5, but now in GT6 since we have the stockyard it is a viable option. But it's only viable IF the stockyard isn't going to eat your cars.
