Are community events finished?

Today the last community event finished. Since I platinumed it, Iv loved getting stuck in to the time trials. The last one was listed as 38 of 38. I can't find any info about a 2016 driver network championship. Like all driving games, online is a lottery of phallic heads, so the time trials are the only thing that keeps me playing.

If anyone knows anything, I'd be grateful to hear it.

Hopefully it is not finished. Im looking to get the game and get the platinum trophy. If they have finished, then i guess the platinum trophy is impossible.
