Oh yeah. Forgot Goldeneye. That was seriously an awesome game.

But, still, it doesn't make up for the suckitude.

Interesting poll results.

Thankfully I have the cheese option to go with - like many before me I agree that Movies into Games and Games into Movies both suck. :yuck:

Is it bad to say that the Poke'mon movies wern't THAT bad? Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, could of been much worse then it was.

On the Flip side, Mission Impossible for PSone was pretty cool. However, if I recall wasn't there a "Street Fighter:The Movie: The Game"? Or something.

At least they are making Metal Gear Solid: The Movie. At least that game has some plot to work off. But really, Solid Snake is just Escape for LA, Kurt Russel (He even calls himself Pliskin in MGS2) crossed with Rambo.

Does that make sense?

It Looks Like Cheese Is A Clear Winner Here Folks

Movies Based On Video Games Are Just Terrible Markiting Ploys, They Really Suck.
Video Games Based On Movies Are Terribly Coded Marketing Ploys, They Also Really Suck.

Of the two, I'd have to lean towards "games based on movies, suck less"

I see this sentiment echo'd through out, and it leaves me wondering, Has there been a movie based on a game or a game based on a movie, that didn't suck?

The first Star Wars game (with the wireframe graphics) totally rocked.

Movies into games, definitely.

007 GoldenEye was not only VERY GOOD... it was the best console FPS of its time... actually, it was the first console FPS that was actually worth buying at all. I remember lording it over my cousins in the "License to Kill" 4 player mode (1 shot - 1 kill), amassing about 12 kills in just one and a half minutes.

I don't know how much of "The Driver" made it into Driver, but the first Driver was one hell of a game.

Hardly any of the Star Wars games suck. But I don't play them... I"m still mad at George Lucas for Episode One.

Indiana Jones and the Lost City of Atlantis (or something like that? Don't really remember the title) was pretty okay.

I'm sure there a lot of others I'm missing.

As for movies, all I can say is that the first Mortal Kombat was sort of... decent... everything else just sucked balls.

And cheese is all right... unless you're lactose intolerant.

Movies into games should theoritically work , but it does'nt . Also , ide really like to see GranTurismo ; The Movie when it makes it's debut.

It would probably be like The Fast and the Furious, only without the witty dialogue.

Oh Yea!!! I totally forgot about those! Man I loved playing those early star wars games, dodging the stuff and avoiding fire while going down the tunnel to drop the bomb and blow up the death star.

I've seen many more good games made from movies on this thread than the converse. So I think we have a clear winner between the two options (cheese not included).

I think what we're forgetting that lots and lots of games suck. And lots and lots of movies suck.

OH!! I almost forgot that the Star Trek - Star Fleet Command III , which was very good.

No, I think the movies-into-games category has been far less of a dissaster than games-into-movies.
