Are the cars in F1 2012 all the same?

I'm new to F1 2012 and was just wondering if all of the cars are the same or some are better than other.

I'm new to F1 2012 and was just wondering if all of the cars are the same or some are better than other.

I've never played the game, but I do know the answer. In online multiplayer lobbies all the cars have equal performance, to provide for fairer races. However in all other modes, it's as in real Formula One; i.e. some cars are faster than others.
