Are the new supercars ( P1, 918, La Ferrari) faster around a track than a V8 supercar or Nascar?

? If they are, wow and too bad they won't be in gT6
It depends what track. They probably wouldn't be faster around an oval, or certain other tracks. But they'd possibly likely win in a lap of the Ring or something.

And contrary to you, it wouldn't surprise me. They make more power, have cutting edge technology, and are extremely lightweight compared to something like a NASCAR. A V8 Supercar may be a bit more of a challenge though. But I can see it happening.

Also, they could easily be included in GT6 as a three car DLC pack (I'd buy it!). It's not like they've been out long so there may not have even been time to model it yet.

It's not fair to compare those cars. V8 Supercars and Nascar are cars built within limits of their class, while supercars are limited by money and technology, which ofcourse goes a lot further than what those classes allow. I'm not sure if Nascar cars are really grippy but I can't imagine a supercar left behind at a track like Daytona.. Corner speed may be higher for Nascar cars, but acceleration is crazy on those new supercars

Maybe for a few laps.

Yeah, even if they could keep up they'd just fizzle out after a bit.

A V8 Supercar is faster than a NASCAR, and the weight and power advantage of a hypercar is going to be cancelled out by the slick tires of the race cars.

Nice question, I gotta check this out in GT5 and later - GT6. :D
But I'll have to use the Enzo Ferrari, Aventador, MP4-12C, Veyron, etc. (in GT6 - the Huayra).

You could solve this all by looking and seeing if there are any recorded times yet. Also the 918 wont ever be in GT as long as a certain company allows a certain gaming company to own rights. The other two are a matter of time I'd say.

Either way as was said, comparing spec built cars to unlimited hyper cars that cost way more than a NASCAR or V8 Supercar is redundant. If you want to compare then ask the question over again with in regards to hill climbing, F1, P1 LMS cars that sort of thing where the field is equal.
