Are These "Free Games" Legit?

Well I decided to look for free racing games, and I found a list on this site. There are only like 4 or 5, but they look fun.

I just wondered if they are legal and virus-free. I'm not asking you to test it for me, just wondering if you would know from experience? Thanks, appreciate it.

GeneRally is excellent, with loads of custom maps and cars available at fan sites and forums. It comes with physics and difficulty customization and the AI is quite difficult to beat at higher AI levels.

Only issue is the game is old and getting it to work with full color compatibility on Windows7 is a hit-or-miss affair.

I have windows 7 and it works great.
 
I guess in this thread is worth mentioning Race Room The Game 2, by far the best free racing sim out there.

And Simraceway which comes with a free car and a couple of tracks but if you want more stuff you have to buy them.
 
You should get Nitronic Rush. It's developed from a team of 11 people in a period of 11 months from the DigiPen Institute of Technology all for free and no viruses. It's an arcade racer but a fun one at that and you can even have your car do stunts!
 
You can Download TrackMania for free on Steam, there are newer versions of it, which you'll need to buy though, so maybe that's why it's asking you for $25.
 
For the first 10 minutes before wineskin decided to blow up the files for Generally it was pretty good fun :( 👍

now it wont work again because the windows C++ file has become totally corrupt.

You mean the current build? If anyone is interested, I have a download from a few years ago.
