I've heard conflicting things, and a search hasn't cleared things up. So once and for all, let's nail it down:

In online Races, are your tunes in effect, or do all settings revert to Default when online?

One person said they are 100% sure that tuning has no effect when online. This is how it feels to me.

But that's ridiculous... why would tuning be disabled where it matters most?

Throw me a Frickin' Bone here, people!!

:):):):):)

That's just ridiculous. Yes, tunning affects the car online just like it would in Single Player. Try racing a stock Murcielago and then a WORKS Murcielago. What a difference! :)

I'm 100% sure our tuning does not work online, it goes back to stock :yuck:

I'm from London by the way.

Hours spent tuning in Quick Race mode are wasted when the settings do not transfer over to online play.

👎

Well, that's two to one against...

@ Tsukuba Trueno:

The Works VS. Stock Lambo comparison dosen't really answer my question...
I know that upgrades and modifications come through to Online play...
Horsepower, tire upgrades, brake upgrades... these definitely affect online play.

What I want to know is do changes on the TUNE menus come through...
Settings like ride height, gearing adjustments, spring rate, steering lock, ect.
Based on some preliminary testing, it doesn't appear that they do.

Normally, I would just assume that no game developer would leave out a detail like this... but this game seems to be full of dumb mistakes...

To use your own car online you have to join or set a mixed race. When in Lobby goto car list then R2 or right paddle (G25) to access your cars. Only cars that are below or meet the performance setting (eg 10.00) will be shown. Can't say about the fine tuning though

I'm afraid you're wrong on both counts - select "my cars" in the "car select" part of a mixed race, you can rotate between my stock cars, my cars, loaners, and prize cars.
NOTE: If all the cars you own are 4.01 rating or higher, you won't be able to view a "my cars" section in the "car select" menu.
