How many car models do you collect in GT5?

(A little bit of searching was done before posting this thread, but I couldn't find a similar thread...) I apologize if I created a similar thread.

So, as said in the title, which models of cars do you collect?

No, I'm not referring to the trophy in-game, which you receive it once you bought 1000 cars. I'm referring to cars that you own more than two in terms of quantity. ;)

Here will be a definition of 'car-collecting' in this thread:
  • You must own 3 or more quantities of the same car.
  • The car must be the exact same model. (e.g. the RX-7 Type R-S and the Type RZ would be two different models)
  • All of them must be stock. (i.e. no performance adjustments made, incl. spoilers)
  • There must be variations between ANY 2 of them. (such as paints and 'racing number')
I myself collect the Lupo Cup Cars, the Lupo GTI Cup Cars, the mm-R Cup Cars, the New Beetle Cup Cars, the Clio Cup Cars and the Lutecia Cup Cars. Which, if you sum them all up, they'd be all Cup Cars :lol:

I also collect the Bugatti Veyrons (because of their 2-tone colours), the Lexus LFAs (because of the variation of colours and paints, and also they look good in almost any paint), some FGTs and the Jaguar E-Types.

A poll will also be added later on, to see how many car models do you collect ;)

So, what are you waiting for, lets get started! :D

I think that the poll is not well sorted for the question, because like you said, you collect cup cars, I'm not obsessive, but also like to have the different variations of cup and race cars, but I can´t say how many it'll be because different cars have different number of variations, this meaning that I may have 3 of one car and 16 of the other, depending on how many different variations exist of such car.

With the 20 Million credit limit I have been collecting FGT's and Bugatti Veyrons rather than race for nothing. I own all the premiums plus all the standards over 100K. Not at all interested in the low power Japanese cars that flood the UCD. It's just a personal thing but I would rather collect cars rather than race for 0 credits.
 
Just to burn money after getting every car in the game, I collected all 20 of the X1 colours, 10 colours of the FGTs, all 4 of the Ferrari F1s, and anything that appeared in a nice colour scheme from the OCD/UCD.

And now if nothing worthwhile appears, I just race for 0CR and collect the ticket.
 
You need an option like:
  • All ingame cars
  • All ingame cars in every possible car-original colour-combo
  • All ingame cars plus PSN-DLC
  • All ingame cars plus PSN-DLC plus Stealth/Chromeline/Facebook XJ13/Edge Camaro

But I guess it`s too late once the poll is started...
 
By your definition: none. On the other hand I do have several cars of which I have more than one piece, but one stock, one or more tuned (in a different way, if more).

In the case that you mentioned, that'll be 2 models you have collected. But because I can't fully understand your question, you may need to explain more of it to me. ;)

I actually thought of that before starting the thread, but because I personally think that this is impossible (considering the '2000 car limit' and the capacity of a PS3's hard disk :crazy:), I didn't add that, and I think the '20+' option would do nicely.
Besides, I don't ever think a lot of people would do that :scared:

The original purpose of this poll is to find out how many players are collectors, and how many models do they collect. I have not thought as specific as that (the options you mentioned) when making the poll, as I wanted it to be simple.

That is something that I do in common too, but I'd say the case is more like 'one for racing duties and another for free-run fun/testing'. :)

Same here! Love their two tone colors :D I'm at 21 so far, my favorite so far is the orange on white color!!

-All dealership colours McLaren MP4 12C's
-All dealership colours Lexus LFA's
-All dealership colours Ferrari 458 Italia's
-All dealership colours Ferrari 599 GTB's
-All dealership colours Ferrari California's count? :indiff:
 
I'm not a collector, but I do have 98 Ford GT's in different colors (dlc), and 3 camaro RM and 3 camaro with different tunes but I guess those doesn't count. I also have 6 AE86 SS, 5 of them stock. And a few other cars I have 3-6 of in different colors
 
I voted 0 since I don't collect anything anymore, just help collectors out 👍
My collection is kinda completed now :)

Notice that only cars you own 3 or more in quantity counts, so the Pescarolos (#16 & #17) and the Audi R8 LMPs (#1 Red & #2 Yellow) shan't be counted into your list ;)

I have 3 #16's C60's.. One was my first I use it for circuit racing, one I got with 0 miles I received from a ticket (I keep it that way in case the trade limit EVER dissipates..) My last one I use for 3K runs and pulling/pushing low powered cars around Route X for break in.. Haha so I gues that can count by default :D

In that case even I myself cannot be sure if it counts, but I used to be in a similar situation too, and I don't count them in as a collection myself ;)

The 'variations' that I have mentioned in the OP means just 'paints and numbers', but not driven miles, so I'm not too sure.

Lmao, sorry to confuse everyone :D .. But current I'm working on the different color Audi LM Race Cars (the ones that look like the R8 5.2 with a wing) I have blue, white, and black so far :/ .. I believe I've seen red and silver

These are the ones that count, I can assure you :D
 
I only collected standard cars. Veyron has got to be the most difficult to collect.

20 models is modest for people around here. :sly:
