Are you the type of person that springs out of bed in the morning, feeling great and refreshed after a good nights sleep?

Or

Are you the type of person that just doesnt want to get out of the bed and the only way youre getting up is an ensuing nuclear holocaust.

I feel that I am of the latter type, the most I can do when I wake up is moan, pull on some clothes and drink some tea. Forget doing anything else. I exercise during the closing hours of the day, actually I function better late in the day than early. I think I need a job that does nightshift.

Anyway enough about me, what about you?

My 'natural hours' are about 11am to 2am. I'm not a fan of mornings, and I like to work in the evenings, when things are quietening down.

I'm incredibly energetic at late hours, whilst in the mornings... Ugh!!

Although that's really more of a "I don't want to go to school" thing. In the weekends I get up pretty early.

Im notorious among my friends for waking up after a friday night out at about 4pm in the afternoon.

I mean 4pm come on!

Nice to see we are all lazy buggers, here at gtp (although I bet vat_man will probably say otherwise ;) )

I just try not to complain when I get up at 5:30 every day. I feel okay after coffee and by the time I make it to work.

On weekends I sleep until 10:00 and always wish I hadn't.

But I'm most motivated and focused at night.

Ditto to Giles' hours; maybe 2:00a to 9:00a for sleeping would be ideal. I'm the best morning person in the house, but that's not saying much...

On work days I get up about 6:00a to 6:30a; weekends anywhere from 8:00a to 10:00a depending on how rambunctious the kids get.

My morning starts at 5:00am. Wake up, shower, get dressed, start the coffee, and prep breakfast for the Birds. Leave the house at 6:00-6:30 to get to the office. It usually doesn't change on the weekend, except that we keep the birds up a bit later so they sleep in until 7 or so.

As it is, they usually wake at 6am and want breakfast.

To be honest, I would love to sleep until 10 am and crash at 3am.

I always feel energized later in the evening. In fact this short commentary is a good one.

Night Person

I'm a morning person, though do find it a bit more difficult in a dark and cold winter :snowflake

-Get up at 5:30am 5 days a week :clock:
-A lie in for me is around 8-9am

I'm certainly a morning person... I'm a lil' sleepy when I wake up, but I always jump out of bed right away when my alarm goes off (5:23 am).

During the weekends, I cannot sleep in... I always wake up around 7:00-7:30... if I sleep in any longer, I'll either have to go to the bathroom really bad, or I'll just be lying in bed, awake, which is time that could be put to better use. I can't stand being awake in bed. :)

I'm like that at the weekends, although it's normally 9:30-10:00 for me. My wife likes to sleep a lot, so I tend to get up and quietly do the weekend chores and develop the web site.

What? :p

I can't sleep in that late... the latest that I've ever slept in was 10:00, and that was when I had the flu. Otherwise, the latest is 9:00. I've found that I can do a lot in the morning (and can slack off a little bit in the afternoon :D).

Meh, I don't require much sleep. I can stay up until about 1AM and wake up at 6:30 or so and still feel fine..I'm more of a night person.

I struggle to get out of bed, but once I've been up and functioning for an hour or so I'm pretty well right - certainly from a work point of view the morning's the best time for me (I start at about 7.45am) and I'm mentally shot by about 4pm. I do my exercise usually at lunchtime during the week, and on the weekends mid morning.

Im not an anytime person, im usually ready to drop the gloves at anytime. I have a short fuse and if you even look at me in the morn your asking for a pencil in the eye. I guess i kind of need to work on that. :(

I wake up on school days at 5:15... :shakehead.

I force myself to jump out of bed on school days and I also force myself to act awake when I do get up, but I'm usually okay after my morning shower. On the weekends I usually stay up till 1 or 2 am, and I end up waking up at 7am. I cannot sleep past 7 or 8am unless I didn't sleep at all the night before or if I came back from a friends house and I was really beat up. So to answer the question, I am not a morning person but I force myself to act like I am.

I find that I can't function until it is at least 10 am. I am NOT a morning person, and i try to wake up as late as possible. I get up around 6:50 am but my mind is back in bed sleeping. Why society(especially schools, I start school at 7:55) thinks someone would want to get up at the crack of dawn is beyond me. In my opinion, 9 am to 10 am would be a better time for school/work to start.

I'm defiantly a night person. I hate getting up before 10:00am. School mornings are the worst, I have to get up at 7:00am and school starts at 8.

I don't know what kind of person I am anymore. I used to totally be a night person, but now I get sleepy around 11. I'm still tired and not wanting to get out of bed in the morning, but I do because I love going to work and school. That and my kids won't let me sleep in :)

Mornings???? What are those???? I think I read about mornings in a book somewhere.

I'm a complete nocturnal creature. But I'm starting not to like that fact. I work nights. Usually I get out of work at about 1am and sometimes later than that. But I usually force myself to get up at around 10am or 11am at the latest even if it means that I have only gotten about 4 or 5 hours sleep. I feel like I waste the day when I sleep later than that. But, like I said, I have to force myself to get up. The body and mind just don't want to make it in the mornings. And if I do get up earlier than usual for an appointment or something, I will more than likely be taking a nap.

if i get 6 hours sleep at night, im set for the next day. i can get up and do anything. if i dont get the 6hrs sleep...boy, do i suck.

I can't wake up in the morning. I hate getting up. It sucks. Then on weekends i get out of bed before i realise im awake

And another thing. I must be a really heavy sleeper because I have 4 alarm clocks set and I will sleep through them all.
Sometimes the alarms dont go off. Not just one or two, but all 4?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I look at the alarms, all will be set properly, but yet, there not going off and they failed to wake me up. I find this distrubing. I highly doubt that 4 alarms all failed to work at the same time. Am I really sleepwalking and turning off all 4 alarms??? I can't remember turning them off. I have no idea and it's quite disturbing.

Boom, what you're doing is waking up, switching the alarms off, then going back to sleep, and forgetting the whole thing because you weren't properly awake in the first place.

This happens to me from time to time.
