Where you able to do anything about it?

I am never late to anything and a few times I have actually overslept for a 2pm shift. Was late to work by about 20 min. I hate being late.
What scares me the most is that I might be switching over to the AM shift where I would have to be at work at 5am. I CANT OVERSLEEP FOR THAT. Out of the question. Got some suggestions?

Ditto, that I used to have 2 alarm clocks but the first one used to end up all over the place (sleep chucking :p ) and the second one my hand actually reaches and instinctively presses the off button, or shuts the alarms off. Although ive been able to actually hear my alarm and still sleep through it being fully aware that its going off.

Ok its 8:58 am in the morning and Ive just got to work.

I feel tired because I went to bed at around 2am.

The simplest one is to move the alarm out of arm's reach, then make a deal with yourself that once it's off, you don't get back into bed. There's a fair amount of willpower involved.

And another thing. I must be a really heavy sleeper because I have 4 alarm clocks set and I will sleep through them all.
Sometimes the alarms dont go off. Not just one or two, but all 4?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I look at the alarms, all will be set properly, but yet, there not going off and they failed to wake me up. I find this distrubing. I highly doubt that 4 alarms all failed to work at the same time. Am I really sleepwalking and turning off all 4 alarms??? I can't remember turning them off. I have no idea and it's quite disturbing.

 Set up a camcorder to find out if you are doing that! Or get a webcam set up and we can all watch and let you know!

I've been at a mates flat a couple of times and one of her mates got up and pissed over the TV while sleepwalking one time and over the coffee table the next, i actually spoke to him while he was doing it the second time, he had no idea he was doing anything wrong and went straight back to sleep afterwards..... so who knows

Oh and i don't know if i'm a morning person or not....

This morning my alarm went off at 05:00 and i was out of bed after a few minutes of getting it together and out the house by 06:00 for work at 7.... Well a bit late....

But when i work late shift i can sleep right through to 09:00 with out problem.

Weekends i can stay in bed until 11:00 easily.

Staying up talking / playing PS2 / playing PC / Internet browsing until 01:30 about once or twice a week regardless of shift.

I can do a few days at a strecth on very little sleep and have suffered what i presume to be insomnia a couple of times.

But i think through preferance I'm a night owl.

Are you the type of person that just doesnt want to get out of the bed and the only way youre getting up is an ensuing nuclear holocaust.

I feel that I am of the latter type, the most I can do when I wake up is moan, pull on some clothes and drink some coffee.

Actually, if you can get me up out of bed, you're definitely on a winner. On weekends, I usually surface about midday.

I even have my alarm clocks (all 3 of them to be exact), my girlfriend's, the microwave clock, my watch alarm, the wall clock alarm and the coffee table alarm set sometimes and I still manage to sleep!

 You bewdy!

Or

I feel that I am of the latter type, the most I can do when I wake up is moan, pull on some clothes and drink some tea. Forget doing anything else. I exercise during the closing hours of the day, actually I function better late in the day than early. I think I need a job that does nightshift.

Anyway enough about me, what about you?
I'm a late night late get out of bed person. I HATE early mornings and early nights.

For me, I get up when I need to. Like for school, the bus comes at 7:15, and I get up at 6:20(cause I want to get on here :) )(un-aided also, I just wake up at the right time, I've got an alarm clock in my head or something(I've never used an alarm clock, and I'd say my times getting up on my own compared to the times my dad has to wake me up are probably 9 out of 10 days))and while I might be tired, I don't feel the need to go back to bed.

I guess I'm a sort of morning person...not really though...
