FYI Super-Supra, the mods and Jordan are well aware of the database problem, so everytime this happens, please don't go around into each thread asking questions, because it takes me a while to get things cleaned up.

Well, what you might not have realized is that you were creating your thread while the server was going through a bit of trouble... you hit the "Send" button about 5 times, right? Well, it ended up creating 5 threads, so I had to quickly go through and lock up 4 of them and then move them to the Reycling Bin. So that's what we're talking about.

No clue, Jordan's looking into it. However, I will say that Giles' prediction is that vB handles threads and posts in two separate database tables, and that there is a timeout occuring between the time that a record is inserted in the threads table and the time that a record is inserted into the posts table. Sounds like he hit it right on, but we still don't know how to resolve it.
